Hello, glitter! This way to Sparkle Central. Just a heads up, but Viva Glam VI Lipglass is all about glitter, so if you’re averse to getting glitter on the mattress, glitter on the highway, glitter on the front porch, glitter on the hallway, you probably won’t love (shack) this, baby!
Oh, and another thing — have I mentioned the glitter? Because this Viva Glam has loads of it. 🙂
As a member of the MAC Viva Glam family, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of VI go to support the MAC AIDS Fund, which helps women, children and men living with HIV/AIDS.
In true Viva Glam fashion, warm, plummy VI gets along with with most everyone, but I think it looks particularly fetching on girls with skin tones from NC and NW 40 and up; something about it just werks on skin tones from medium to dark.
While it appears pretty dark in its tube, VI applies semi-sheer on me, and because of that I think it’s more wearable than it would have been, had it been packed with pigment and glitter, ya know?
I like to wear it on its own or layered atop lipsticks and lip pencils. A few of my faves: Dervish and Beurre.
Oh, and you gotta try it with MAC Breezy Blush one of these days (please!). The plummy tones in both of them go together like chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. 🙂

Hi Karen, This was my first MAC purchase after university & as I was starting out in the corporate world (x years ago!). I’ve gone through 2 of these before I ventured out to other glosses. I recently got one again after so many years and I can say, I still love it over all the other glosses. 🙂

You look GORGEOUS with this, Karen! I think I might have tried it on, but that was before I got used to seeing myself with any color on my lips so I wasn’t too convinced. Now that I’ve had some practice I’ll try again!

I totally agree – VGVI is a hero! I’m NC20 (light skin with warm undertones), and this is one of my favorites. Don’t be afraid to try it if you have a lighter complexion; it’s very wearable and flattering!

This was actually my first Mac lipglass I have ever purchased. I am a NC45 and this color just compliments me so well. This will always be apart of my stash. I like to pair this with Revlon Lip Butters in Berry Smoothie or Sugar Plum, a great combo!

I bought that lipglass just last month and absolutely love it, especially on sunny days so the glitter sparkles even more so!!
