MAC Unsung Heroes: This Cremesheen Glass Is a Veritable Deelight

July 15th, 2011 by Karen 21 Comments

MAC Deelight Cremesheen Glass

Ever since our big company meeting with work-friendly Spite Lipglass (LOVE!) earlier this week, I’ve had other work-friendly MAC lip colors on my mind. Colors like the upwardly mobile subject of today’s Unsung Heroes post, MAC Cremesheen Glass in Deelight ($18.50).

I’ve kept this creamy, mid-tone neutral pink close for a few months. We met through the MAC Girl Next Door Kit and quickly hit it off, thanks to Deelight’s pigmented, hydrating formula, smooth, non-sticky texture and light vanilla flavor and scent (Side note: Deelight’s available by itself at MAC stores and counters; you don’t have to purchase the kit).

Deelight’s what I like to think of as an “everything” gloss — easy to work into almost every look, from sexy, sooty smokey eyes to things like the everyday neutral eye I’m wearing here. Whenever I want to wear pink, but not a warm pink like I get from my go-to’s, Nympehtte and Evolution Revolution, it totally fits the bill.

I find that I do have to reapply Deelight and the other MAC Cremesheens more often than I have to reapply the Lipglasses, but I don’t mind. At least for me, I think they’re more hydrating, which more than makes up for the fact.

Deelight looks great in the office with work-friendly neutrals. Try it with your favorite eyeshadows in gray, taupe, brown and beige. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I LOVE Cremesheens. I’m no a big MACahaulic but these are my favorite lipglosses ever. They are super moisturizing and while they do wear off pretty quickly, I don’t mind as I’m a chronic re-applier anyway. I love this color! I may have to buy the set just for it.

      Hi Jessi,

The color’s available individually at MAC. You don’t have to buy the set! 🙂

Hehe…I love how your cat is basking in the sun in the background! TOO CUTE!

The lip gloss is a pretty colour, Karen. I agree – looks like a great everyday lip gloss that can be incorporated into many looks.

You look beautiful in all of these pictures :). My favorite neutral pink from MAC is Ample Pink Plushglass; I tend to stick to the plushglasses because they’re not sticky and they make my lips just a tiny bit more full looking.

Happy Friday to you and the fabulous Tabs!

I know it’s probably a simple low-ponytail, but your hair looks so nice in these pics! I think I may have to check out this gloss when I hit up my MAC counter tomorrow, it looks gorgeous.

I’ve wanted to pick this up for ages! I can never get over the lesser value of cremesheen glasses compared to lipglass though, Some day!

I love the swatch pic with Tabs in the background! This gloss looks great you, I find neutrals wash me out and prefer a little more color on the lips. I admit I’m yet to pick up a Cremesheen glass from MAC, somehow the low wear time always turns me off. Is there any shade you’d suggest for me – something deeper in pink or berry (I’m NC40 for your reference, dark brown hair)

Thanks so much, because of you I’ve discovered my absolute fave lipgloss! down side? I just bought it beginning of July. It’s now 2 months later and I’m very close to being done :S
I don’t re-apply like a nutso either. I’ve just worn it everytime I go to work basically. I suppose I can get lots of B2M’s with it lol!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
