The Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color Palette in Purr-Fect Is Perfect for Soft Green Smokey Eyes

Wearing Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color in Purr-Fect on my eyes

Much like Paul & Joe’s Face & Eye Color palette in Siamese Please is a smooth operator, Purr-Fect is one cool cat.

The three thrilling cool-toned shades in this $36 palette don’t just walk. They strut! With a mossy greenish gray, a shimmery forest green and a glazed beige with a sheen finish, it’s my favorite, and probably the most dramatic, of the three feline fabulous Face & Eye palettes from Paul & Joe this spring.

Purr-Fect is one of three new Face & Eye Color palettes in the new limited edition Paul & Joe Collection Sparkles release for spring 2012.

I love wearing soft smokey greens on my eyes, so Purr-Fect’s a perfect fit my makeup style.

As for wearing these powders on my face and cheeks? Hmm… Perhaps the glazed beige, but I looked pretty creepy in green blush the last time I checked. 🙂

Unlike the other two palettes, Purr-Fect’s three powders pack comparable levels of pigment. I’d characterize it as moderate on me — a soft, sort of watercolor effect. I love it, and I think it also makes them even easier to blend.

If you prefer your pigments punchier, you could always apply a few extra layers, and/or apply them with a wet brush, which should crank up the intensity.

Like the other two palettes, Kittycat and Siamese Please, Purr-Fect’s powders feel soft and buttery. I do detect a big of fallout when I wear them, but even so, they’re my favorites of the bunch. 🙂

A nice assortment. Sephora (stila valentine set, stila smudge crayon, buxom lip cream (I used your swatches to pick!)) clothes from american eagle. and I bought my first lightroom presets (I have a bunch of free ones too) so I’m excited to play around with those.

I know! It broke my heart a little to mess up his coat. Do you think you’ll ever take your brushes to your palette?

Would you believe I’m nuts enough to consider purchasing a second one to use? This may mean I need a makeup 12 step program!
I think I may have to snag one of those decorative domes you mentioned and show them off….at least for a while 😀

Ooh, this would be Perfect as a face contouring powder for this annual event in Philly – Zombie Prom, lol!

I love your whole look here, very pretty! makes me excited for spring!!

If you like darker smokey greens, I just got a shadow by TheBalm (actually I got it in a set at TJMaxx lol) called Jealous Jordana, and it has totally made smokey green eyes my new favorite thing!! Its a great shimmery blackened green. I use it as a crease/outer corner color, or the other day I went to a concert and layered it over a Benefit Creaseless Cream in Skinny Jeans for a super-smokey-rock star eye 🙂

        Anytime girl 🙂
Zombie prom is suuuuper fun!! For last years zombie prom I did my entire face w/ one of those green concealers, contoured with forest green and grey eyeshadows and whiteish highlights, and hollowed out my eyes with black. Slashed up a cheap dress, teased and effed up my hair with gel and mouse, and my friend Chris had a big jug of fake blood we just went crazy with. This year I’m thinking under my makeup I’ll put one of those rubbery peel off masks, scruff it all up so I looks like dead skin, then apply color. Half the fun is planning the look, because it’s so different and opposite of everything you’re used to doing!!!

Oh, that’s a good idea. I have to try that. I have worn the palette twice. First I think I had the mid colour on the lid, dark green on the crease, and the lightest for highlight. Then I found out that a smokey (dark on the lid, mid to blend out, and light for hightlight) eye was really great! And I don’t normally wear smokey eyes because I don’t like very dark looks.

This was my favorite in the pan and it looks great on you. Too funny about the green cheeks; I think Captain Kirk would be all for it, though. He was never put off by green women. 🙂

I did! I really liked it. Karl Urban saying “dammit, man, I’m a doctor” put it right over the top for me. HAHA! I thought the whole thing was perfectly cast. Though, I’ll always have a soft spot for the Shat. 🙂

    You look beautiful!

I still really don’t like when eye shadows aren’t in their own pans. When they touch like this, I worry about colors mixing together and stuff.

Also, the price is a little steep to me, but I generally think that about anything. 😉

That bugs me too. Because, for the most part, I’m going to use them as separate colors, what do I do with those areas where they touch? I have some TooFaced duos that drive me crazy because of this. I actually have the same thing with my food, I don’t like different food to touch and smush together on my plate, lol

Hi Karen, You know what I never use but probably should? An eyelash curler, somehow it just seems to take to much time and doesn’t make that much of a difference. What do you think?
