Pacifica Brazilian Mango Grapefruit Body Butter: Heavy Duty Hydration in a Bright Citrus Blend

July 23rd, 2010 by Karen 28 Comments

pacifica brazilian mango grapefruit body butter review

Ugh, what was I thinking trying to put myself on body butter parole? I told myself NO NEW BODY BUTTERS until I finished both open tubes of Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava and Malibu Lemon Blossom, but then I started hanging out with a bad good influence, Pacifica Brazilian Mango Grapefruit ($18)…

The rich formula moisturizes all of my scaliest bits, wiping out the patches of beef jerky skin that appear on parts of my hands, arms and legs if I’m not vigilant.

Brazilian Mango’s crisp, tart fragrance blends notes of peach, apricot, pineapple, mango and grapefruit in a bright and classy way — like mimosas made with expensive champagne.

I feel like Pacifica’s body butters tend to leave a slightly greasy film on my skin, but I’m fine with that as long as I keep them far away from my neck (can’t stand a greasy neck!). My skin appreciates the hydration.

If you’re fond of fresh, summery citrus scents and crave heavy duty moisture, squeeze a bit of Brazilian Mango Grapefruit on your hands on one of your next trips to Sephora (it’s also available online at sephora.com, too). Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I’m dying to try one of the Pacifica butters since everyone here gives them rave reviews. Sadly, I need to smell before I decide on the flavor. I feel a 45 minute car trip across the northern border coming on! 🙂

It only takes one tube to get fully hooked. 🙂 You might love ’em if you have really dry skin!

What also works for me is the Neutrogena body oil – while im not a fan of slathering oil on myself, that oil dries up pretty fast and smells nice.

I usually alternate a body butter or heavy lotion and that oil and my skin behaves pretty well doing that combo!

I have a tub of Pacifica Body Butter in Waikiki Pikake and it is absolutely fantastic. Smells gorgeous and works like a charm on my dry skin. I need to get the soap again but the Pacifica stuff is amazing. Have you tried the solid perfumes yet?

I am in the same boat is you Karen, I have so many body butters and body lotion that I have yet to use and finish and I keep tempting to buy more. I love Pacifica products and recently bought several items by them because they were on sale. I am trying not to buy Wakiki Pikake perfume and body butter but I really want to. The Brazilian Mango sounds divine!

I am almost done with my Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange body butter. Though I still have loads of other body butters and body lotions from various brands, I so want to try out more Pacifica ones.

Brazilian Mango and Grapefruit combo would smell lovely I am sure. Love love grapefruit scent!

This stuff sounds great. I love all of those scents. I do like E Burnmham shea butter because it smells great (true vanilla) and I don’t find it to be too greasy or maybe my skin is just that dry that it absorbs it.
