Let Korres Delight Your Lips with Moisture and Sheer, Shiny Color

December 8th, 2009 by Karen 37 Comments

Gah! This freezing cold’s been suckin’ the moisture clean out of my lips. If it’s not the dry chill in the air outside, it’s the heater running indoors all night long. My lips need help!

I’m hoping these new Mango Lipsticks from the Korres Delight Your Lips Set do the trick because I love the way they look.

Korres released several holiday value sets this year. This one comes with four hydrating lipsticks in earthy warm tones, all of them broadcasting natural, shiny color.

Not only do they feel light and smooth on my lips (with high shine, kinda like Chanel Aqualumieres), applying semi-sheer without a noticeable flavor or a scent, but the addition of SPF 10 and moisturizing mango butter should help to protect and hydrate my lips through the rest of this sunny cold spell we’ve been having. I also feel good about using them often because Korres was kind enough to leave out the parabens, sulfates, petro-chemicals and GMOs (yay!).

Purchased separately, the four colors would clock in at $72 for the bunch, which makes the $27 value set look like a total steal. I’m seeing good stocking stuffer potential here. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

I might like the Natural Purple 25 but I’m not completely sure about the color, honestly I would prefer something more pinkish but I love the idea of hydrating lips 🙂

These are a little thicker than the Lip Butters, but they feel just as silky!

It is great that they don’t have parabens and petro-chemicals and etc. But I would love it if a Mango lipstick would be mango flavour and scented too.

      Hi Amy,

That would be awesome! I wouldn’t want them to have the burn that mango can give skin sometimes (has that ever happened to you?).

      Hey Karen,

No I have never go a mango burn on my skin, but I have heard that mango oil is great for burns though.

These look like an awesome deal! The only Korres product I have tried is the face primer which I still don’t know if I like or not.

Hmmm, on the one hand I’d love to have these, as I currently have either highly pigmented lipsticks or just lip chaps or lip glosses… on the other hand, I don’t have all the colours of pigmented lipstick I’d like yet (ok, let me rephrase that, as I don’t think I’ll ever have all the colours I’d like – I don’t have enough to suit a variety of occasions, so I’d like to round out the collection a little first), and my lips are dark so slightly pigmented lipsticks might not show up very much. The hydration and SPF protection sounds wonderful for a lipstick, though!

      Hi Kypris,

These are pretty pigmented for what they are — have you tried the Clinique Almost Lipsticks? They’re like a hybrid of lipstick and a gloss. The Korres lippies have very similar pigmentation!

I’m sadly allergic to the SPF in these, but I think you just sold these as part of the Christmas present to my mom. They all look just fabulous on you and I think they’re sheer enough to not scare her too! Thanks!! 😀

I have a question. Let’s say that you are rushed and you don’t have time to put on makeup at home. What do you put in your purse to make yourself look put together? I’ve been trying to figure this out and I always end up carrying too much.

Ooooo those are nice and the price is great too, about the same as one nice lipstick from another brand. Do you find them to be pigmented? If they are super sheer I may be better off just using their lip balm.

      Hi Shiny,

They have very similar pigmentation to the Clinique Almost Lipsticks — like halfway between a creamy lipstick and a gloss.

For sure they’re much more pigmented than your average lip balm!

Oh, I like the look of these! However, I just went to the MAC store yesterday and bought some things and I know hubby won’t like me buying more lip products (I am a lip product junkie). I bought the MAC Slimshine in Bare and love it! I really like a more sheer look to my lips, so I will have to check these out in the future. Have you tried the Korres lip butter? I might be able to swing that into my stocking for Christmas.

Thanks for all the reviews you do for us!

These colours are all super pretty, I really like Orange Red and Natural Purple on you. I love these value kits, when my parents were on Holiday they got me two, one with 6 lipglosses and another with assorted makeup, and they were just SUCH a great value! Hopefully they’ll appear in the US soon, so you can dig your lips an eyes an face into ’em 😀

I don’t have a lip look but I think I am getting to old for lipgloss and I need to start wearing lipstick. Do you think older women should wear lipstick or lipgloss?
