Benefit Set Out to Make This Christmas One of the Best Ever With Their New World Famous Neutrals Kits

November 29th, 2012 by Karen 32 Comments

Benefit World Famous Neutrals
The brand-spankin’ new Benefit World Famous Neutrals kits

If you decide to add one of Benefit’s new World Famous Neutrals kits to your holiday wish list, there’s a good chance (at least 93.5%) that your sis, mom, BFF or Secret Santa will find it hard to resist keeping it for herself.

(Because that’s totally what I’d be tempted to do.)

These three new $30 Sephora exclusive kits are some of the most exciting neutrals I’ve seen since Naked2, and I’m going bananas (B-A-N-A-N-A-S) over the colors, almost all of which are new.

Just when I thought the whole neutral palette craze was completely played out, along comes Benefit to put their signature spin on it.

First, they created “Eyenessa,” the magical, mystical makeup maven/character who graces the covers of all three World Famous Neutral kits, and judging by her giant hoop earrings and affinity for gold jewelry, she’s a girl after my own accessories-lovin’ heart. 🙂

Second, there’s the Creaseless Creams! — which are my favorite things about these. Each kit comes with two of them in tiny pots, along with four Longwear Powder Shadows.

Now, it seems like every brand has a nude/neutral palette of powder eyeshadows, but not many of them come with cream shadows. By including two Creaseless Creams with each of these, Benefit takes these kits to the next level. I think the Creams give Bene-babes much more power to layer and create their own custom combos.

What do ya say we take a closer look now at each of the kits? 🙂

Benefit World Famous Neutrals

KIT #1: Most Glamorous Nudes Ever

Abracadabra! This spellbinding kit’s combination of rich, warm neutrals is prompting me to put my obsession with Skinny Jeans on pause (BTW, have you tried Skinny Jeans yet?? It’s one of my favorite cream eyeshadow colors of all time!). The kit features two enchanting Creaseless Creams of its own, the shimmery champagne Birthday Suit and My Two Cents, a shimmery warm golden copper.

The kit also comes with Longwear Powder Shadows in Call My Buff (a pearly, peachy beige), Kiss Me I’m Tipsy (a warm reddish brown with a hint of plum), It’s Complicated (a shimmery pinkish gold) and Gilt-y Pleasure (a shimmery peachy gold) to add even more glow to your eye looks.

KIT #2: Sexiest Nudes Ever

If sultry eyes are more your style, you might get lucky with the mostly cool-toned shades in Sexiest Nudes Ever.

Benefit loaded it with Longwearing Powder Shadows in Milk It (a pearly off-white), Raincheck (a demi-matte mauve), Pause for Applause (a matte purplish pink) and Blingo (a metallic silver), but it’s the two Creaseless Creams in Bikini-Tini (a shimmery golden peach) and Holy Smokes (a shimmery bluish gray) that are driving me wild. I can’t wait to use them for smokey eyes.

KIT #3: Easiest Nudes Ever

This kit’s Creaseless Cream Shadows in shimmery pink R.S.V.P. and shimmery purplish taupe No Pressure could soothe any cravings you have for soft neutrals. Neither the Creams nor the Longwear Powder Shadows in Call My Buff (a pearly, peachy beige), Thanks a Latte (a shimmery, bronzy taupe), Pinky Swear (a shimmery matte pink) and Quick, Look Busy (a matte purplish brown) seem very cool or warm, so these should be colors most guys/gals can wear.

All three World Famous Neutrals kits roll up on Sephora stores and sephora.com some time between the middle and end of December. I bet they’ll make great gifts, but you may want to save one (or two or three) for yourself…

I would not be surprised if these zip and dart off shelves, pew, pew! 🙂

PRICE: $30 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon exclusively to Sephora stores and sephora.com

P.S. Boy, it is storming here tonight! The rain is coming in sideways, and Tabs is freaking out! I think we might even lose power…

Guess I better watch TV while I can, LOL!

Hope you’ve had a good week so far. Just a couple more hours till Friday.

Ok… I was totally MEH about this when I first saw photos circulating the Twitterverse; but you’ve totally tipped me over from “MEH” to “OMG, CAN I HAVE?” (complete with grabby hands)!

I quite like Sexiest Nudes Ever and Most Glamorous Nudes Ever, though I find that there are particular shades in each palette that I REALLY knock my socks off. And can they put all those Creaseless Cream in ONE palette? Coz that would make my Christmas! <3

I love this packaging so much, but I already have all these colors :(. I am so so sad… Is it logical to buy something for the packaging… I guess I never have tried any creaseless creams… that in itself… hmm… reasoning skills… excuses… I WANT.

I have to admit I’m seldom blown away by Benefit, but these kits are AWESOME! I love their cream shadows, so I’m really happy to see that each set comes with TWO! The shades look nice and pigmented as well. Great job, Benefit!

The packaging looks bulky, but it looks great as decor. I wonder if you can take out the eyeshadows and use the box for storage?

Wow, these kits look amazing! I like the Glamorous one the best, probably because I’m drawn to warm tones to compliment the olive tones in my skin and my hazel-green eyes. I will have to pick one up when I hit Sephora for my holiday shopping spree (for stuff for me and for mom 🙂 ).

Glamorous Eyes is my favorite palette of the three. Dammit I don’t need more neutral eye right now! Great, my fingers are getting all wiggly and my credit card is trying to magically swipe itself at Sephora. Oh dear my vanity has no more room for pretty eyeshadow palettes. Wait, my bookcase does!

UGH I CAN’T WAIT FOR THESE!!! If the time comes and I actually do purchase one, I don’t know if I should go for Most Glamorous Nudes or Easiest Nudes!! Most Glamorous’ shades seem very similar to Naked 2 palette colors, but it’s so gorgeous!!! I think I have an addiction to neutrals!!
