Light Just Loves BECCA Rose Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed

October 17th, 2013 by Karen 19 Comments

Becca Rose Gold
Wearing the new BECCA Rose Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector ($38) on my upper cheekbones

Three reasons to FREAK THE EFF OUT when you meet BECCA’s latest highlighter, the new $38 Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold…

Becca Rose Gold
Super cute pan!

1. The geometric design on the pan

So modern… So elegant…. I almost couldn’t bear to touch it with my finger the first time.

Becca Rose Gold
Don’t you want to dive right in?

2. The gorgeous rosy gold color

What is this 1849 again? The start of another gold rush? 🙂 The pan really does look like it’s made from rose gold, doesn’t it?

It also makes skin glow, but not in that disco ball/oily way. I like this glow a lot.

Becca Rose Gold Swatch

I think BECCA gave it a hint of warm peach, too. The color seems more complex than your average run-of-the-mill highlighters.

3. The limited edition-ness

Uh…what do you mean this is a holiday release that I won’t be able to get whenever I want?

Excuse me??

I might have to squirrel away a backup (like I did with BECCA’s Cabrera Liner), because like their fabulous Opal and Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Rose Gold gives skin a flattering glow without making pores look like the Great Lakes.

I’m cray-cray in love with how my skin just glows when I wear it, and it seems cruel not let it live in the permanent collection. 🙁

Becca Rose Gold
Eyes are Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette, lips are Too Faced Spice Spice Baby La Creme

What else you should know about BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold…

  • The ultra-fine, luminescent pearls reflect light in complex ways, ensuring that your skin doesn’t lose its glow when you step inside or out.
  • Can be used on the face and/or body
  • Paraben-free formula
  • The grains of powder don’t look like they’re just maxing and relaxing on top of the skin
  • It’s also long lasting. When I sweep it on the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupid’s bow first thing in the morning, it lasts the entire day.
  • Great for all skin types, including (and especially) mature

PRICE: $38
AVAILABILITY: Available now online and at Sephora stores
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+

Karen

That is so gorgeous! You’re killin’ me with these Becca reviews. I have 2 of their highlighters. Do you think I really need this one? I have NC20 skin and I’m afraid if it’s “rose gold” it will cast a reddish hint to my skin. Can the lighter skinned pull this off well?

That is stunning! I have heard great things about the liquid Shimmer Skin Perfectors but I like powder highlighters better than liquids so this is right up my alley.

    PS. That bangle is awesome!!

This looks amazing! Happy Friday and I’m sorry, it’s been crazy busy but I wanted to stop by to let you know that we added to our feline family. An orange tiger BOY of all things. The fellas want to name him Milton. We’re now officially cray-cray cat people with four! 🙂
PS He’s feral but only 8 weeks and the boys are thrilled to have a kitten for the first time. 🙂

So pretty but I think already have my heart set on the Hourglass AMbient lighting trio, also LE. Dang those LEs!!! If you had to pick one for mature skin- which would you recommend?

So this is off-topic but I LOVE your shoutout to the Great Lakes- even if it was a comparison to big oily pores, I still smiled to see that because I live on Lake Michigan 😀 And the highlighter looks amazing as well!! Rose gold is my fave, whether in makeup or metals!

Hi Karen, how would you compare this to the Laura Mercier spellbound highlighter? Are they pretty similar?

Now that Rose is no longer limited edition, which of the 3 are your favorite? I mean, if I were only to buy one which do you think is the most outstanding?!?!

Hi Janna, Opal is my absolute favorite, hands down. It’s the one I reach for over and over again. It has a lovely golden warmth that looks like sunset on the skin. If you have any other questions please ask! 🙂
