Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey Creates Sweet Cheeks That Never Go Out of Style

November 8th, 2011 by Karen 18 Comments

It was a dark and stormy night…

Wait — no it wasn’t. Not even close. It was actually a Lost Weekend earlier this fall, and matte Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey ($32) was there.

The sweet cheeks this pigmented peachy nude powder blush creates are always in style, but they feel like they hail from a kinder, gentler time, a time when afternoons meant studying at the library after school, and your cheeks would flush at a smile from your crush or a single word like, “Hi.”

Wild Honey isn’t a blush for the jaded or bitter. Wear one or two layers (the color lasts a solid eight hours without fading) only when you’re in the mood to smile. 🙂

PRICE: $32
AVAILABILITY: Available now online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A (I only wish it were cheaper)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Very pretty! Could you use this as a contour shade for lighter shinned gals? I wish it was cheaper too. :/

You could, as long as you’re looking for more of peachy toned contour powder, rather than a bronze, brown or gold shade.

Have you worn Becca before? They’ve got some really nice products.

So pretty. Even $10 off would be nice, right?

I love your scarf, where’d you get it? His blush is the perfect color, but I have so many already and I just stopped by Clinique for the bonus gift….

      Hi Em,

It was a Christmas gift from my brother’s girlfriend. I think she got it from H&M.

Quick alert – Pinkberry has brought back the salted caramel due to popular demand. Had it tonight mixed with pumpkin. T’was awesome! Added bonus – if you buy at least a small with a topping you can get the take home size for only $5 (normally $12.75). Yep. Got me a freezer stocked with yogurty goodness.

Okay, have you had the peanut butter one yet? I had it two weeks ago and it was a REVELATION.

It was fantastic, but it is gone now. I feel like their best flavors are the limited time ones.

Thanks, Karen! I’ve been waiting for this. Once you post the second blush, could you also compare the two new blushes with the Halcyon Day ones?

      Hi Rita,

I did swatches and a look with the second powder shade, Sweetpea, a while back. Here’s the link:

I’ll be happy to do comparison swatches for you w/the other two. I’ll have to do it in the morning, though, when I have better lightening. Adding it to my to-do list! 🙂

I always think Becca’s stuff is so pretty and keep saying I need to own something from the line. It’ll probably be a blush and I’ll probably add it to my Christmas list. On a side note, the Hubs is headed to Albany today for a wake and I asked him to stop by the Clinique counter to grab an eyeliner and brow pencil for me. I’m pretty darn impressed that he’s going to do it! 🙂

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
