We’re Taking a Highway to the Neutral Zone with the Becca Lost Weekend Collection

August 18th, 2011 by Karen 41 Comments

Becca fans, this fall we’re shifting into neutrals with the new Becca Lost Weekend Collection (products $23-49 each), and that means one thing…

Road trip! 🙂

Where are we headed? Nobody knows, but do we really care? Nope! Not with Becca’s new eight-piece release of earthy tan, caramel, chocolate, peach and pink shades to keep us company on the open road.

I briefly looked at three of the products from the collection this afternoon; I plan to test drive these and more of the products from the release over the next week, but for now I thought I’d share some pics…

Lost Weekend Palette, $49

Mineral Blush in Sweetpea, $32

Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss, $23

Swatches from the left: Eyeshadows from the Becca Lost Weekend Palette in Chino, Moleskin and Moire; Mineral Blush in Sweetpea and Lip Plumping Moisture Gloss

The Becca Lost Weekend Collection includes…

becca lost weekend collection

Look for the new Becca Lost Weekend Collection to arrive on Becca counters, in select beauty boutiques and online this fall (online at dermstore.com and beccacosmetics.com).

It’s date night!

El Hub and I are heading to the farmers’ market tonight to 1) spend some quality time together and 2) to replenish our stock of popped kettle corn. 🙂

I’m so excited!

What’s are you up to tonight?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

The Sweetpea blush looks neutral and very safe to wear on my NC30/NC35 skintone and the packaging is unique. =)

Wow, your photos are so great! How would you describe sweet pea? Is there too much colour for glow in the dark pale skin? It looks really plummy. So pretty i need the palette.

I really like the brown shadow- looks like chocolate 🙂 The polishes look great but $25 is a generous price for a polish.
BTW- Lloyd’s grown quite a bit in the last couple of weeks- I have such a chuckle when you mention him in the posts.

Every time you swatch Becca I’m reminded of how pretty I think their colors are. I really need to give, at least, one of their blushes a try. And that Lloyd has some nerve! Sneaking into makeup ads? He’s tricksy. 🙂

      Hi Megan,

I haven’t tried these colors yet, but I’ve worn their polishes before and I like them a lot. They dry fast, don’t chip and are so glossy! Here’s a review of the summer shades: The New Becca Halcyon Days Nail Colours Are On Like Donkey Kong, Quick Like Mario Kart

Pre season Cleveland Browns game with the boyfriend. And after the game we’re going to a great Italian restaurant off of Akron U’s campus called Luigi’s. I’m super excited to wear my cute Brown’s hoodie I order from Victoria’s Secret PINK so now I don’t have to wear the boyfriend’s hoodie that is huge on me.

These look very pretty, but I find it so hard to get excited about understated neutrals! What is exciting, is that my hair salon (Festoon) now carries Becca! Yay! I get to ogle every time I get my locks re-layered! Last time I picked up the brush soap (thank you so much for that review way back when) and my world has been rocked! My brushes and I thank you for it! 🙂

I have a serious love affair with BECCA. I was mad over the Halcyon collection and I’ve trying to get my hands on Lost Weekend but it’s not being released here until Sept. I ADORE the mineral blushes and am still wearing Damselfly and Flowerchild from summer. I also want to see the eyeliners.

Thanks for the post…I’ve been eyeing this collex. The eye shadows appear to be shades of brown on the Becca Australian website, however, the end shades look more pink toned in your pics and swatches…I’m on the fence about this palette now…

I love Becca – was introduced to them at The Makeup Show, and aside from being fronted by very nice people, they had some lovely products. Very beachy, California casual aesthetic, but sophisticated.

I think they were carried at Sephora, once upon a time? Anyway, looks very nice and wearable. =)

I think this is one of my favorite looks on you! Honestly this palette looks great on everyone who’s done a FOTD with it.

I feel like the only reason I haven’t bought it yet is because it reminds me a lot of a pricy Jane Iredale palette I bought last year and hated 🙁

Are there any department stores that carry Becca? I might have to check it out in person myself.
