Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil Collection for Summer 2011

February 8th, 2011 by Karen 16 Comments

Well, hello again, bronze goddesses. For the forth straight year in a row, Estee Lauder’s doing a — wait for it! — Bronze Goddess-themed collection for summer.

This year’s promotional pictures gave me some serious de ja vu. Doesn’t the Bronze Goddess Island Oasis Eyeshadow Palette ($42) look similar to 2009’s Sand & Sea Eyeshadow Palette?

I was hoping they’d bring back 2010’s Bronze Goddess Liquid Eyeshadows (that teal was so killer!), but it looks like they’ve replaced them with two new ShadowStick Duos ($20 each).

What I’m really looking forward to is the new Bronze Goddess Soleil Eau Fraiche ($55). I wear the Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skin Scent from 2008 all the time, even in the dead of winter, because it reminds me of going to the beach.

Anywho, take a look at the promotional pictures and the collection listing below let me know if you see anything you like.

Thanks sooo much for the info!!! Can’t wait for summer already!! What I didn’t understand is will they release a regular Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche and a a new Soleil one, or only the Soleil?

Oh man…could those eyeshadows BE any more ‘summer’? (Channeling my inner Chandler Bing.)

Beautiful. Just gorgeous. I want it!

Their summer Bronze Goddess collections always look lovely but since I don’t tan the colours never work for me. I do love the original fragrance though and am curious to smell this new one

    Hilary Rhoda looks hot!

I recognize Tiramisu – it’s a repromote from a couple years ago, and it’s a great neutral. The rest looks too warm-toned for me, versus last year’s Summer Bronze collection with thode gorgeous teal and purple liquid shadows. Still, it all looks very pretty and is getting me excited for my trip to Miami next week!

I lurve the eye palette for this year. The addition of the greenish shade is what makes it for me. Think I’m going to put this on my birthday list.

I already have similar eyeshadows – and yes that looks almost identical to the 2009 palette! I will definitely buy the perfume and maybe a lipstick or two…love the fig scent of Estee Lauder lipsticks!

      Hi Jessica,

I know here in the US the launch date is set for March; it should probably filter into the European counters shortly afterward. EL tends to do summer early so you won’t have to wait too long.

This looks like such a beautiful array of colors for summer. I am very interested in the eye shadow palette. Has anyone had the chance to try it? Sometimes the colors are very different in person, but they sure look pretty. The star fish is so gorgeous, it would be a shame to use it.

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
