Urban Decay Holiday 2009: 24-7 Set in Stereophonic

“Urban Decay is rocking my world lately.” — MBB Reader Louise Gray

Louise, you took the words right outta my mouth! Cruelty-free Urban Decay took vegan makeup mainstream with bright colors and glitter, and they’re still going strong with what I think are some really interesting and fun launches for fall and holiday (Book of Shadows Vol. II!!!) .

Makeup newbies, or those new to the brand, may want to keep eyes peeled for UD’s new holiday liners. Called the 24/7 Set in Stereophonic ($29), the kit I’m talking about here includes four large 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in some very wearable colors, along with one full-size Heavy Metal Glitter Liner (for when you need a little sparkle in your life).

The steadfast 24/7 Glide-On Pencil liners are among the best pencil liners I’ve ever tried. They apply smooth and just won’t back down.

Case in point: There was that time I watched The Notebook… I was wearing Underground (a shimmery brown) at the time, blubbering my way through the film, but Underground stayed put from start to finish.

If you’re already a freak for Urban Decay, take a look at Crash, a shade exclusive to the set. That one’s driving me wild.

The Stereophonic 24/7 Set is one of three 24/7 makeup sets in Urban Decay’s Holiday 2009 line. It joins the Hi-Fi 24/7 Set (like Stereophonic but with different shades; I like the green; $29) and 24/7 Super Stash (a mini-pencil set; $36).

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I have the Underground eyeliner. The pigment is very rich and the pencil glides on application. Great post!

I love UD 24/7 Liners and I have it in Bourbon, but I have yet to see the holiday kits at my local Sephora yet. I definitely want to pick up a few more of the liners and the kits are a great buy, as it will take me a while to get through even the mini sizes too.

I really wish I could just buy Crash too! I have tons of black eyeliners and am a wee bit too old to wear glitter liner unless it’s halloween.

These Urban Decay giftsets are going to make me so poor over the next few months. I want all the ones I’ve seen. I’m so weak!

I love Urban Decay gift sets but they always include a glitter eyeliner which I always end up hating! I wish UD would take out the glitter eyeliner & put in a Primer Potion 😀

      Hi Ashley,

This is my first UD glitter liner… I haven’t used it yet (just played with it on the back of my hand), so I’m hoping it’ll work for me.

What is it about the liner that you don’t like?

      Hi Ezzie,

Their liners are on the pricey side, but they have good stuff! Maybe start off with a color you could use every day, like Zero. 🙂

Hey Karen, I’m just not a fan of glitter liners 🙁 I never find a use for them and since there are kohl liners with flecks of glitter, I find glitter liners a waste. I usually put it ontop of my eyeliner for extra shizam but the liquid from the glitter liner sometimes breaks down the wear of my existing liner. Funny story – when I was fourteen, I mistook glitter eye liner for nail polish embellishment :$

      Hi Ashley,

LOL, that sounds like something I would’ve done when I was 14. 🙂

Have you tried the MAC Pearlglides? LOVE those glitter liners!

    hey heyyyyy
When i read your other post on the superstash of ud 24/7 liners i marched straight over to sephora to buy one. Glides on great, does NOT come off…my only problem and question to you is HOW DO I SHARPEN IT? My friend broke the tip before i even used it, and my obsessive compulsive self had to go home and sharpen it and thats where the story gets sad. It would not sharpen! Not even when i put it in the freezer! I ended up returning it but when i was at sephora i tried sharpening with their sharpener…it was disastrous…what am i doing wrong?
Sorry about the long post by the way :$

      Hi Jen,

Hmm, I’ve only sharpened one color, Eldorado, and didn’t have any trubs. I used a random Chanel sharpener that I had laying around. Maybe you happened to get a bad batch? The 24/7 Pencils I’ve tried in the past never give me an issue in terms of sharpening.

Good thing you bought it at Sephora! One of the reasons why I shop there is their excellent return policy. Sorry hear that they didn’t work out for you though.
