Another 21 skin care tips

Girl, before you jump into the rat race today — before you listen to your voicemail at work, check the calendar on your phone, read your new e-mail and all your tweets — relax those shoulders, take a slow, deep breath, and just chill in silence for two minutes with today’s latest list of skin care tips.

Why?

Because stress is bad for your skin (that’s from tip #9). :)

Hi Karen, my comment has nothing to do with this post, but my eyebrows recently got waxed way too high and pretty uneven and thin. I think it happened because I wasn’t wearing any brow powder and I was wearing glasses, if that makes sense. Would you still recommend highlighting? because I really don’t want my eyebrows to look higher. Any toher tips for uneven brows? The only product I have is Anastasia GoBrows.

    Hi Sarahc,

    I’m glad you enjoyed these!

  4. 4. Karen said, on June 9th, 2009:

    Hi Heather,

I would probably skip the highlighting for now… maybe do looks that focus on drawing the color to other parts of the eyes or face, like the lid or perhaps a bolder lip.

Since you’ll be waiting for those bad boys to grow back, I’d schedule extra time in the mornings to work on filing them in and getting them even, just until they start coming back in. Do you have a good brush to apply your product with? The MAC 266 is a worthwhile brush investment for filling in brows. Plus, you can also use it to line your eyes once your brows grow back.

Also, what are your thoughts on long, fringe-y bangs? That might help to cover ‘em up a lil’ bit as they’re growing out.

I love these skin care posts, Karen! Number 11 mentions oxygen facials. I know Bliss spa features an oxygen facial, but it costs an arm and somebody else’s leg! Have you ever tried it, Karen? (Bliss also sells an oxygen mask for $52, but reviews are mixed!) I’ve always been curious about the oxygen facials…

  9. 9. Karen said, on June 9th, 2009:

    Hi Stacie,

I haven’t tried it. I did get a Bliss gift certificate from a friend of mine… I might have to look into that! :)
