If My Cheeks Could Talk, They Would Tell the MAC Magnetic Nude Extra Dimension Blushes in At Dusk, Autoerotique and Pleasure Model To Stop Futzing Around and Go Permanent

December 20th, 2013 by Karen 18 Comments

MAC Pleasure Model Extra Dimension Blush
Wearing MAC Pleasure Model Extra Dimension Blush on my cheeks

I can see myself clutching these three blushes against my bosom, falling to my knees and screaming “Why? WHY!?” at the top of my lungs.

In this fugue state/daydream, I’m alone at the top of a hill in the pouring rain under an angry sky as thunder booms all around me.

Suddenly, RyGos appears out of nowhere, and when he pulls his shirt up to reveal his chiseled, almost porcelain abs, the clouds above our heads part, the rain immediately stops, and finches following sunbeams down through the opening in the clouds start singing.

Ah… I refuse to believe that this scenario is not entirely possible. 🙂

Anyway, it’s absolute and total crap that At Dusk, Autoerotique and Pleasure Model from the new Magnetic Nude collection aren’t permanent blushes in the MAC line.

From a couple feet away, these Satin finish blushes look like mattes on my cheeks, but I can definitely see a subtle shine up close in the right light.

I love it. It breathes a lot of life into these colors makes them much more than basic matte blushes.

And then there’s the way they keep my pores — which you can now see from across the Milky Way, for real! — on the D.L. for 8-10 hours.

The pink, coral and copper shades look quite natural in pics (don’t they?), and like the Magnetic Nude Extra Dimension Eye Shadows, I bet I’d be able to apply and blend these while soaring through the air as a flying trapeze. 🙂

Do yourself a solid, and swatch at least one of these on a future trip to a MAC counter.

Oh, and if you happen to be curious about blush but don’t have a lot of blush experience, ask a MAC artist to put a little on you while you’re there.

Trust me. It won’t look fake, and you won’t have crazy clown cheeks, either.

Uh oh…nudes? Should NOT be spending ANY money on myself for a long while (broke from buying presents!! :P) but of course MAC chooses now to release these beauties. Love nude-y toned blushers and these are GORGEOUS! When I first saw the pics, I was thinking “thank god they’re so shimmery otherwise I would’ve been very tempted to buy” but now after reading your post…obsessed! LOVE that glowy matte finish!!!

I love your imagination so much Karen ^_^

These are pretty – I think Autoerotique is the nicest one though.

I think MAC get a sort of perverse pleasure out of releasing really good products that are only limited edition…I wouldn’t worry though, if they prove really popular, I’m guessing they’ll re-release/make permanent.

I mean, look at how many times they’ve re-released RiRi Woo in the last few months…

These blushes look absolutely stunning on you; the whole collection does. I love your chocolatey hair colour. I must have Autoerotique. And whatever you’re wearing on your lips.

I wish mac would carry a permanent lineup of extra dimension products! It doesn’t have to be massive, just something people could get all the time. Estée Lauder at least has their version of the eyeshadows permenant- wish one of them would create a permanent version of blushes and highlighters!

Autoerotique and At Dusk look like they are going to be the first MAC make up items in my stash full of drugstore products… 😀 They’re not that expensive, right? …RIGHT?

This collection has me incredibly excited, more than I have been before on most of MACs collections. I see a large purchase in my near future.
