Is There a Benefit Product You Can’t Live Without?

Published in: Just For Fun

Dear Benefit:

I would if you ever discontinued Creaseless Cream Liner in Birthday Suit ($19).

So don’t. :)

Yours in perpetuity,

Karen

On me (NC35) this shimmery champagne cream shadow is like getting three extra hours of shuteye, and I can even apply it without a brush, haaay! Ah, to be a lazy makeup beast…

How about you? Is there a Benefit product you can’t live without?

Some conversation starters…

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Sambady Loves Me and Sippin N’ Dippin! They are so great for lighting up my eyes. Birthday Suit is a big winner too!

  2. Devs says:

Sadly I have never tried any Benefit products! I know, I know….BUT I plan on going to Sephora soon and trying out highbeam, it looks like a product that I would love!

  3. eva-k says:

Benefit’s FYeye…eyeshadow primer is theeee best!

  4. Alyssa says:

    Benetint, hallowed be thy name!

  5. Vanessa H says:

    Good Morning!

I do love Benefit, but haven’t used a product of theirs that I can’t live without.

If MAC discontinued the MSF Natural, I would throw the hissyfit of all hissyfits!

I luuuuurv dandelion. It’s the perfect pink with *just* enough warmth. Perfect for a natural flush. I actually lost mine about a year ago :( boo! Someday soon, though, I will replace it. That stuff is muy awesome. One of my favorite things about benefit in general is that their products give such a natural “glow” to your face. Love it!

Also, have you tried the depuffing action eye gel? That stuff is FREAKING MAGIC. I think it might be my favorite product of all time.

  7. Joelle says:

I have it in the colour called Strut! i totally love the shade of colours but there’r 1 minus point that my girlfriend and i noticed! It dries up/shrinks(like within the year of purchase) and the color doesn’t come out as smooth anymore=(

  8. Freyza says:

Mine will probably have to be sugar bomb. My sis got it for me for my birthday and I love the hint of shimmer it leaves on my cheeks :D

  9. GeriBerry says:

If I had to pick just one product it would be High Beam…but I love Eyebright, Gilded (under glosses! Learned that from you Karen!), and Hoola. Hoola is my favorite matte bronzer :)

  10. lexi says:

    Oh Karen,
I wore this same shade on my lids with soba as my crease – a little UD bourbon on my lower lash line lots of mascara and I looked awake while moving into a new house! I’m a NC42 and this also works very well on my skintone. Yeah I couldn’t live without their creaseless shadows. LOVE birthday suit, honey bunny and skinny jeans (a must for me when i do grey smoky eyes)

  11. I’m a big fan of honey bunny!

  13. Sharon says:

Benefit moonbeam. It’s my fast way to fake a glow and i use it everyday. I’d be lost without it!

  14. Stacy says:

I have no idea what I’d do without Hoola, Eyebright and Erase Paste.

  15. Jessica says:

Benetint and Powderflage. Never a day without them.

  16. Tekoa says:

I think its the Sugarbomb blush. It gives my NC 15 skin a soft pink flush. There’s something great about it that I can’t articulate….

And I just discovered that OPI Chop-sticking to My Story resembles my cat’s coat (Morrie). Does Tabs have a favorite nail polish?

  17. Marina says:

I love their Creaseless Cream but in Busy Singnal and I also love High Beam.

  18. emma says:

Lip Pencils are the only things I like and own from Benefit now. Used to own more, but never got into their blushes. I like the clear lip pencil and the Color Plump pencils–fat pencils that I wear as lipstick.

  19. NC says:

Moon beam , perfect way to get a natural glow !!

  20. Toni says:

I am loving the Silky Finish lipsticks by Benefit (OK, I only have one, but I love it and plan on getting more colors!). In my opinion, it’s a cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss, which I love. I would be very disappointed if they discontinued this product.

    POSIE TINT :)
ITS THE ONLY LIGHT PINK THAT SITS WELL ON MY PIGMENTED LIPS.

  22. Katrina says:

I’m new to benefit – thanks to you Karen, but I use a cream shadow almost everyday. I have it in: honey bunny, recess and for this summer sippin’ n dippin’. I also bought Coralista but am waiting to use it once I’m tan. I’ve tried a couple of their lipsticks though and they aren’t my fav. I’m holding on to thrillin’ brazilian and hoping that I like it for summer, but I’ve already ordered a Smashbox coral lipgloss just in case.

  23. Catherine says:

Hm, you know what, I don’t think I have any Benefit products! I’ve been eyeing a few of the lipsticks, as well as Skinny Jeans though, so this will probably be remedied soon lol.

  24. Trude says:

Bad Gal Lash, holla!! Can’t live without it. Also love High Beam, Benetint and their lip glosses (although the tubes are way too small for an addict like me!).
    .-= Trude’s last blog post… iPhone Madness! =-.

  25. Jean says:

I’m also lazy about putting on my make up. Mine has got to be Dallas, my HG blush. Second runner up is high brow. I always keep both of those items in my purse to use when I don’t want to put much effort into my makeup.

  26. CynthiaCCC says:

Benefit already discontinued my favorite product, a lipstick I actually bought THREE times and used ALL of each tube (this is unheard of, for me). It was before they changed their formula and went for the three-girls line. (Hate both developments, by the way. Why did they change their formula? It was awesome! Now it dries out my lips and smells like my grandmother.) Anyway, the shade was “um, um, uh…” (no, I haven’t forgotten, that’s really the name). I’ve been searching for the perfect dupe ever since, and no luck, alas. Anybody have know of a good dupe for this color?

  27. Courtney says:

    California kissin
    I would just die.

    Also High Beam. :(

  28. NINA says:

I have three Benefit products that I use regularly — BeneTint and PosieTint — they last FOREVER!!!

And the Creaseless Cream Liner in Strut – which I can use as a good smokey eye base or even by itself with just a bit of highlight.

I reach for these three things almost everyday!!!

  29. Schara says:

Skinny Jeans cream eyeshadow/liner. Beautiful for smokey eyes… a little finger swipe over each lid, some black eyeliner and mascara, DONE!

  30. Rebecca says:

Honestly I don’t use that many benefit products, but I do love Posietint… it’s such a sweet pink, and pigmented enough that you don’t need tons of layers, but not so pigmented that it’s easy for blush n00bs (I can’t believe I just wrote that xD) like me to make mistakes.

  32. wehkwas says:

I own one product by Benefit. And sadly, it is on my ‘products I regret purchasing’ list. It is the OhLaaLift under-eye brightener. Literally zero improvement. Weirdly, I’m still hopeful about the blushes. I’m on the look out for a new everyday blush and Georgia has caught my eye:)

  33. Sara says:

hahha. I love this pot too.. Its my go to on lazy days! It always gets the job done effortlessly!

  34. Marian says:

I really love Highbrow. I use it under my brow to highlight and on my lower water line. It really brightens and opens up my mature, hooded eyes.

  35. Dana says:

I really love Lemon-Aid by Benefit. I have pretty vainy eyelids and I find that this does the trick in covering them up as well as providing a nice base for my shadows.

  36. Sally says:

Same! I couldn’t live without Birthday Suit – I use it every day!
I also love Dallas blush and Hello, Flawless! Such good coverage.

  37. Tanya says:

I would permanently curl up in the fetal position if Erase Paste was ever discontinued. I absolutely love it. It completely covers and brightens under my eyes. It lasts forever too!!! I don’t think I’ve had to buy another pot for 2 years at least.

I can’t live without Birthday Suit either! It’s perfect! :D

  39. Tiffany says:

Okay, I have this in another shade, and it smells funky. it has ever since I got it. is yours kinda smelly, or do you think I got a bad one?

My can’t-live-if-living-is-without-you benefit product is That Gal!!!

  40. mill says:

    dandeeeeelion!

  41. Ashley says:

I just bought the Benefit Stay Don’t Stray primer… I kinda hate, kinda love it. Do you notice that weird hempy/earthy scent? Ick. The pump always pumps *too* much product too & it’s such a waste. It does make my eyeshadow last though. Haven’t tried it with concealer but it beats the crap out of Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance And UDPP!!

  42. Haley says:

benefit is one of my favourite brands! my favourites are mr. frosty, the creaseless eyeshadows (particularily in birthday suit, skinny jeans, and RSVP), their some-kinda gorgeous foundation (although its being discontinued from what ive heard!), CORALista blush, and their velvet eyeshadow in rich beach. if i had to choose one.. i would choose two (lol); CORALista blush and the eyeshadow in rich beach! yay benefit

    • whitney says:

oh no where did you hear some kind of gorgeous is going out, its my lazy day foundation…i could live without it but i really dont want to :(

  43. Georgia says:

honestly no. I have Georgia, boiing and eye bright but none of them blow my mind

  44. amy says:

I have birthday suit and i like using it as a base because I don’t like it as much as an eyeshadow. I got Birthday Suit along with Recess for $15 CAD at Sephora during the holidays.

  45. Stef says:

Hello Flawless foundation powder is my go-to every day look! Also the Bluffdust to get rid of the redness on my nose! Bo-ing and Lemon-Aid rock my world! And I just discovered Posietint, which is the perfect natural looking blush! Benefit rocks!

  46. Stef says:

I can’t believe no one has said it yet, but I would actually die without Coralista. Litreally die!
    .-= Stef’s last blog post… Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils – New Colors! =-.

  47. High Beam! It’s the perfect highlighter for pretty much anywhere. Gives an amazing glow.

  48. DJ says:

I don’t think I’d die but I would truly hate having to find replacements for High Beam, Dallas, That Gal and Dear John.

  49. BeckBeck says:

My fave is also probably Sugarbomb – I’m a fair-skinned lovely and Sugarbomb is a great light blush with some shimmer oomph.

IMPORTANT QUESTION about Birthday Suit! Does yours smell kinda… off? I actually tossed one because it had a weird smell, and then I repurchased and… the SAME weird smell was there, just fainter in the new one. I have a couple other creaseless cream shadows (Skinny Jeans, Recess, Bunny Hop) and only Birthday Suit has the weird smell!

  50. Pluto says:

My fave Benefit produact is the Bad Gal Plum mascara, as it really intensifies the green in my eyes. I’m a huge fan of powder foundation, so I think Hello Flawless! will be my next fave…

  51. mkdallas says:

While they’re not HG products for me, I really enjoy using the creaseless cream shadows in Strut and Busy Signal as eyeliner, both under the eye and on top.

  52. Michele DiCola says:

    Coralista

  53. Michele DiCola says:

I don’t know where my gravatar went; it shows up everywhere else!

  54. Martha says:

I wish I could share the enthusiasm for Benefit, but when I finally ponied up the cash for High Beam I was completely let down.

Although their blush is peaking my interest.

  55. Meghan says:

I would die in the summer if I didn’t have my Dr.Feelsgood balm. It’s the only thing that would make me look completly shine free.

I have this product & while I really like it, I think I would survive without it. But there are some of their products which I adore – Brow Zings, Coralista & Laugh With LeeLee.

  57. Kylie says:

Birthday Suit is HG for me, although I wear Bunny Hop more (but I think it’s dc). These are the ultimate base.

  58. candi says:

dandelion and coralista!!! both really suit my fair skin. dandelion was my first blusher and converted me :)

  59. Merry says:

They already discontinued my favorite and I have been on the hunt ever since. Even called them and asked if they would make me a CASE of my favorite lipstick, Benefit Um Um Ah… Please Benefit, if you are reading this, PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back!!!!

  60. Melanie says:

Forever I will be looking for an equivalent of ‘Um, Um, Ah’ lipstick. I would buy a case if I could find it…. Never has a product been so perfect…….
