A Little Obsessed With These Kate Spade Glitter Studs (and Glitter in General) at the Moment…

Published in: Fashion

When El Hub and I braved the mall last weekend to do some last-minute Christmas shopping, of course I had to pop into the Kate Spade store.

It’s one of my mall rituals… You know how there are certain stores you always have to visit when you go to the mall? Well, Kate Spade is one of mine.

So, of course I had go in and look around, and while I was there I saw these glittery studs…

How cute are these…? I didn’t get them for myself because I’m trying to save some moolah for Baby Girl, but they’re so cute!

What is it about glitter, dude? Even when I’m in the throes of a very minimal makeup moment, I still have mad love for glitter, and not just glittery makeup, but also glitter in its many other sparkly forms.

These studs are smaller than the oversized Kate Spade studs I wear in a lot of my pics and videos, but they come in a bunch of different glittery colors (all of the ones I saw had gold prongs) and a shape that looks a little like a cushion cut.

I saw them in teal, magenta, gold (I also saw them in silver glitter on the Nordstrom site, but I didn’t see them in silver at the store), but my favorite by far has to be the multicolored one.

It looks a little like Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday nail polish, doesn’t it?

It’s SO CUTE with those multicolored sparkles and, like, the blue, magenta, gold, silver — aahhh!

Yeah. Totally feelin’ these.

They’re $38 each, and I only see the gold ones on the Kate Spade website, so hmm… There’s probably a better selection at the stores.

I bet these would be a good last-minute gift for a girlfriend. Maybe with a matching glitter nail polish? How cute would that be? — a cute little set? Or maybe some glitter eyeliner like the Heavy Metal Liners by Urban Decay?

You could do Milani Jewel FX Nail Lacquer in Teal 528 with the teal studs, Milani Jewel FX in Jems 530 or Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday with the multicolored studs, Milani Jewel FX in Fuchsia with the Magenta studs and Essie Rock at the Top with the gold.

Alright, that’s enough glitter talk for one post. 🙂

Love these! I have the multi and pink glitter. I find I wear them less often than my solid colors but that I get more compliments when I do. I’m scoping out their new black/gold and pearl glitter. I’ve only seen them once online at Nordstrom then never again. I’m hoping they make a reappearance.

      Hi Becca,

I didn’t know they made a black/gold version. I’ll keep my eye out for it because it sounds like something I’d totally love. Aren’t the Kate Spade studs the best? I wear my oversized ones all the time.

Hey troublemakers K & T – I ordered the silver glitter earrings as soon as I saw your post! I have lots of events coming up in 2016 & those will be just the ticket!!! Bad influences both of you!

    • Karen says:

      Hi Buckycatt,

Glad to have helped. I wear my KS studs all the time and they seriously go with everything; you’ll love them. 🙂

Tabs says MEOW and happy holidays. He’s been very naughty today because we had a bad storm last night; the howling winds fire him up!

Check out Macy’s! They have sets of Kate Spade earrings with the glitter studs and then another cute pair that varies. I got the multi-colored confetti glitter studs with an adorable pair of star stud earrings. They’re 40% off right now too!

  4. I don’t often wear studs, but these are pretty!

  5. I am not that much into glitter, never have been. These are very pretty, but sometimes the line between chic glitter and cheap glitter is quite thin.

Who doesn’t like some Kate Spade, right? I like the multi color ones too! And what a great idea with the matching nail polish! Every girl needs some glitter in her life (in moderation, of course but Kate Spade def does it right!)

I have the multi-glitter as well. I’m currently wearing the Brad Goreski designed eye glass studs while wearing my glasses. I know it’s redundant but I can’t help it – they are so damn cute!

  11. Suzanne C says:

There’s an Etsy store that sells similar studs for $10-$15. I’m thinking I like that better than $35!!!

  12. Chelsea says:

So pretty! I don’t actually have pierced ears, or anything else.

  13. Iris says:

The multi-coloured ones are gorgeous, and they’re very affordable. I’ll have to see if my local Kate Spade still has them. *crosses fingers* as I’ll only be able to head there after the holidays.

  14. Kelly B. says:

I would pierce my ears just to wear Kate Spade earrings. I love her glitter studs but her classic bow earrings are my absolute fav!

I picked up a pair of the multicolored ones during the last Nordstrom sale! I don’t remember exactly how much they were then…like $20 something, maybe??? I Love them! I saw a pair of glittery gold ones at the Kate spade outlet the other day – they were cute but not as cute as these….

  16. Gemma says:

These earrings are so lovely! I think that they are so unique and haven’t see any like this before. Great inspiration. Gemma x
