Tabs may have crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge last May, but he still says hi to me, and he does it often.
Sometimes he leaves his whiskers for me to discover like buried treasure. Connor calls them “Kuya’s whispers.” Kuya means “big brother” in Tagalog. “Look, I found one of Kuya’s whispers!”
His other favorite way to say hello is through a colorful sunset, and there have been some amazing ones this summer.
Whenever I see those golds, reds, pinks and purples, I know he’s thinking of me and loves me and wants me to keep my heart open. ❤️
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Ok, I am crying now. Never will I look at those sunsets again without thinking of Tabs and my own beloved puppers and cats who have crossed the rainbow bridge.
Sending love and hugs from Britain. xxx

Oh my. This is just beautiful. I think that’s Tabs’ way of saying thank you for all the love and care you gave him in his life and that he’s always there to look over you and your family.
Much love, Karen.

That is so sweet, and sunsets are a very thoughtful way to send his thoughts.

That’s just like Tabs to be sending the pretty! 🙂 My friend lost her infant early this year and whenever we find a dime, we say it’s from him. Her step-mom passed over the summer and she said to tell us that she’d be sending quarters, so we’d get more money. We’ve all found many of those as well. <3

This is so sweet and what a beautiful way to remember Tabs by.

Karen, I have never posted anything or commented anything before on your blog, but always enjoyed reading every week for a long time and I absolutely adored your photos of Tabs – its was what kept me coming back. You are truly a compassionate human and after I read your blog today, it touched my heart (I was in tears) – I can feel the love for him! He knows how much you love him too – he will forever be with you!

Hi Marcia,
I loved (and still love) Tabs deeply. I’m finally at a place where I can talk about him without getting super emotional; he’ll always be my special kitty boy. 🙂
I hope you’re having a wonderful Monday so far! Thank you for reading the site all this time.

This is so sweet. I swear I still find Mina fur on things and it’s kind of heartwarming. It’s been almost a year since we lost her. I have a friend who passed away four years ago from suicide who loved all kitties and rescuing the needy ones so I like to imagine her taking care of Mina for me.
Karen says
It’s so precious to find those little bits of their physical self around the house. Our fur friends are all around us! Hugs to you.
