The Sephora VIB 15% sale is happening meow (it goes until August 27)!
Inquiring minds want to know… What’s on your wish list?
This time around, mine list includes a beauty bouquet of the usual suspects I hoard. For instance, I “need” another bottle of Kate Somerville Ani Bac, and another Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen, a few hair things, and (of course) foundation, which is apparently my makeup Achilles’ heel.
- Everything Olaplex: Everyone I know raves about this brand, and I really want to try ALL THE THINGS, including the No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo ($28), the Hair Pefector No. 3 ($28), No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner ($28) and the new No. 7 Bonding Oil ($28).
- Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer: Their iconic tinted moisturizer has new packaging and a new formula, and I reeeeeally want to try it. Back in the day, the O.G. one was one of my makeup bag staples… I wonder if the new version is just as good.
- Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid: This medium-to-full coverage liquid foundation has been on my radar for a while, but I keep getting distracted by other things, ha ha!
- Shiseido MicroLiner Ink: I’m enamored with the super skinny tip of this twist-up liner, which is supposed to last a long time and be excellent for tightlining.
- Budget skin care products: SO MANY bare-bones, affordable skin care products have come out over the past few years, and Sephora stocks quite a few of them. I’m very curious about the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution by The Ordinary (only $7.20!) and The Inkey ListNiacinamide ($6.99).
How about you? What’s on your VIB wish list?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Nothing!
I’m only buying replacements this year, and like a true beauty junkie I have so much makeup I won’t need anything this year.
If I was buying from the sale I would get the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, I’ve enjoyed it in the past, and I like a sheer coverage product, also I really am not loving my current foundations. I would also get a setting powder, but I’m not sure which one would suit my 42 year old face that is still combo, but not at oily as in the past.

Oh, I have too much at home too! I bought 2 mascaras as I have no stockpile left and will likely need two before the November sale. I also bought Amika Haute Mess. I don’t need any more hair gels/treatments, but I don’t like to blow dry my hair on the weekends. This leaves my naturally wavy hair somewhat stylish without blow drying it. I found a bottle in TJ Maxx and thought it was worth repurchasing. Unfortunately, when they restyled the packaging, the made the bottle smaller!

I just got the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. It truly is amazing stuff. I think you’ll like it. It makes me feel like I’ve just come from the hairdresser.
But, I have to go back because I’m nearly out of so many things and I love getting a discount on beauty staples
I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer every summer. I didn’t realize they were repackaging. I’m almost out. So that’s on my list.
I’ve got just a few pumps left of my Becca First Light Priming Filter Face Primer, which I use daily, so that’s on my list.
I’m also nearing the end of my bottle of Boscia white charcoal makeup setting spray, which I also use daily.
I would love a few new lip colors but I need those like I need a hole in the head. Hello retirement and college tuition!

It has been awhile since I responded to your blog. I have been pre-occupied with getting Zack ready for college. So hubby and I just returned from Upstate New York and dropped our young man off to Ithaca, had a few days vacation and walked in our door about an hour ago. My tears haven’t stopped because I realized that the hug I gave him this morning is the last one for the next 3 1/2 months. I am happy for him that he is in the right place, but I do miss him already. I guess I will have to stock up on waterproof mascara. Welcome to “Empty Nesting”! Give Connor an extra hug for Auntie Jane!

I feel you, Jane. So many of my friends are in the same boat and it will only be 2 more years for me. One of my besties went to Ithaca and really enjoyed it. I hope your son will as well. You’re not alone – I think all parents are blubbering messes when their kids leave. Hopefully the next 3.5 months will fly by. Hang in there! <3

My definite is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills x Jackie Aina palette. I’m on the fence about a few INC items and a Omorovicza toner. I’ve a few more days to think it through.

I’ve been a little ‘meh’ about my eye makeup lately, so I’m trying two new-to-me palettes, one from Dior and one from Marc Jacobs.
I got a couple of Inkey List products for Mom and some of their Niacinamide for our oldest. And I’ll probably go back for one of the sharpeners you’ve been recommending, so that I can throw my UD Grindhouse across the room and against the wall like I’ve always dreamed of doing. ?

I was set to pick up that Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer as soon as it was released! Glad it was in time for the sale. So far I like it- but it seems a bit more matte finish when blended. Can’t do the radiant version- it’s a little too glittery now. I will have to layer up with my Bobbi Brown radiance primer when I want more glow. Also on my wishlist: new Drunk Elephant products. I want to try everything they make, but it is so expensive, I tend to wait for sale. and Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, Alterna Caviar Anti aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo. whew! say that 3 times fast. why are those names always so looooong? hahaha

Just the ABH Jackie Aina palette

Mine shipped yesterday. Mostly the usual suspects: Tarte BB Cream, Faux Cils, Anastasia BH perfect brow pencil and Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (I’d normally get Bi-Facil but I have to feel like I’m saving somewhere – HAHA!). New to my list is Laneige Water Sleeping Mask full size and I also got a sample of the Lancome Cils Booster XL. We’ll see how that goes. You know I worry about my lashes and what might make them fall out! 🙂

I got Becca Backlight Primer, TF Ethereal Setting Powder, and Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil. Those have been on my radar for a bit and this summer sale was just the ticket ? There’s some great sales right now too though! Those were hard to resist!

Hi Karen, just a heads up re the Shiseido MicroLiner Ink. When I bought mine the lady on the counter said it’s not safe to be used on the waterline. It’s not the easiest product to remove, it really does need a proper dedicated eye makeup remover, you’d probably end up with really sore eyes trying to remove it from your waterline. Olaplex 4, 5 and 6 are excellent products, I use all of them – you only need a tiny amount of no 6 as it’s very thick and rich. I’m waiting for no 7 to launch here in the UK and then I’ll be all over that too …. my poor bank account!!

I picked up the Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation, Fenty Setting Powder in Cashew, CoverFX concealer, FRESH Lotus Night Cream, CoverFX blush highlight duo, and Vicktor & Rolf Flowebomb.
Last sale I stocked up on skincare but between boxycharm, ipsy bad and being a mom, I haven’t had time to get to it so I got a few things on my want list. Flowerbomb is my holly grail. Can never have enoguh.
