If you like pastel paws but don’t want to go full-on painted Easter egg, these sheer Sally Hansen polishes hit the spot. They’re from Sally’s moisturizing Color Therapy lacquer line and are $8.99 each.
Fighting crabbiness one stroke at a time! Now, I’m not saying that the Sally Hansen Color Therapy Sheers will solve all your social distancing dilemmas (like, why is it so hard to find baking soda at the store right now?!), but they should help in a couple key areas, like if your nails need serious TLC! The moisturizing argan oil-infused Color Therapy formula helps reduce chipping and splitting.
And, is it just me, or is there something intensely empowering about a set of freshly painted claws? I feel like a tiny @ss kicker when my nails are done and I’m wearing big hoops.
These sheer shades, which are part of a sub-collection of the Sally Hansen Color Therapy nail polish line, are my new faves. There are only a handful of them, including cool-toned lavender Bare Tint, and cool light pink Bare Kiss, which has a hint of greige.
Like all of the Color Therapy polishes, these have a flat, extra wide brush that fans across your entire nail to completely coat it with paint in one swipe… Not that I’ve got anywhere pressing to go these days, but manis and pedis are much quicker when I use this brush.
Also of note
- MOAR pigment: Both of these polishes are more pigmented than your average sheer polishes, so if you like it when your natural nails peek through your polish, these will totally give you that look.
- Dry time: A base and top coat, along with two layers of these polishes, will take about 10 minutes to set (so the nails are no longer wet) and 20 minutes to completely dry.
- Streaks: I spied with my eagle eye a few subtle, barely-there streaks, but you have to look really closely to see them… If it happens to you, don’t panic. Just quickly follow up with an additional coat of polish (make sure it’s thin) or a layer of a clear top coat. Either will help even out any streaks.
- Strong and durable: I wore Bare Kiss for a week, and after seven days, my nails only had a few small chips.
Bare Kiss and Give Me a Tint are $8.99 each, and you can find them now at Ulta and drugstores in the Sally Hansen permanent line.

Pastel nails are my favorite! They look always cute but also elegant. These look like they will be my new faves! And not just for Easter! Looked still great after 7 days! Wow! ???

I grabbed the Strengthening Base Coat and Nail & Cuticle Oil at Target yesterday. My nails have been very bad about peeling lately, so I’m excited to see what happens.

I actually prefer natural fingernails and am fortunate enough to grow decent ones. I usually only use a clear top coat to protect them and add a bit of shine. Now, my toe nails are a totally different matter. I love cheerful colors—light to medium— on my toes. I guess that’s because here in So Cal we spend much of the year in sandals of various sorts and a splash of cheerful color just goes with the casual vibe.

I’m still trying to remove my dip powder. It’s like cemented on .
As soon as that happens it’s Sally Hansen for me !
Stay inside stay healthy!

I’m pretty impressed with how even and streak free this appear to be. I don’t usually like sheers because they end up uneven. Very pretty, spring like and feminine.
I was going to suggest Mollie Stone’s for baking soda, but I notice the closest store to you is in Sausalito and that’s not very close at all. Sigh. The stores down here are still out of paper towel and TP and flour and yeast and rice and dried beans. I mean dang. The thing that kills me, is when this is over there is going to be a lot of pasta and dried beans and flour that ends up with bugs in it from sitting in cupboards too long and it will probably go to waste. Sigh. None of the people I know in Paris or Tokyo say there’s a shortage of those things.
