MAC Casual Colour Nail Lacquers from the left: Delicate, Fiestaware, Please Me and Style Tip
There’s a time and a place for crazy glittery nail polish, but when you’re more in the mood to kick back, there’s also MAC Casual Colour ($16 each).
The four new laid back limited edition nail lacquers released with the MAC Casual Colour collection get nails ready for everyday tasks, like grocery shopping, watering the plants, cleaning the back of the stove and catching the bus on time. Nothing too outrageous here. Just four basic, user-friendly, wearable shades.
Here I’m wearing two coats on each of my nails…
The MAC Casual Colour Nail Lacquers from the left: Delicate, Style Tip, Please Me and Fiestaware
Fiestaware
I can’t wait to get this juicy mid-tone orange coral on my toes! Easily the brightest of these four, it’s also the easiest to apply (no streaks!). Oh, happy day. 🙂

Style Tip
Do you remember MAC Spite from the Fashion Sets collection? I have a feeling Spite and Style Tips are close cousins. If you already own Spite, I think you can probably pass on this particular soft pink nude crème.

Please Me
There’s something about this mid-toned warm pink crème… I like it. It’s feminine and timeless. In fact, I think it made my watch stop earlier today (ba-dum chh!). But seriously, it’s also generous with pigment.

Delicate
Let’s see… How can I put this delicately? Well, Delicate has a popular job. As a pale sheer ballet pink with a crème finish, it’s one of many similar shades on the market. Sadly, this one streaks, and I think there are better ones out there from other lines.

The thing is, like the new Beth Ditto Nail Lacquers, these shades just don’t seem all that unusual to me, and I think that would be easier to overlook if they weren’t also more expensive than many other nail polish brands.
I do think they’re in character for the collection, which is nice. Casual Colours these definitely are, and I like it when the color palette seems to make sense. 🙂
All four shades are available now at maccosmetics.com and coming June 7 to North American counters, and internationally later this month.

YES! Fiestawear it is! This color gets massive love from me!
Dee (and Maitai) says
I do really like Fiestaware. My mum used to be obsessed with Fiestaware dishes, so this colour brings a little nastalgia and is a really fun looking colour to have on.
Xero says
I don’t know why they choose such dupeable colors when there are so many well-performing, affordable nail polishes available.
Amy says
Agreed! There really isn’t anything particularly exciting or groundbreaking about any of these shades. I’ve never really been impressed with the performance of MAC’s nail polishes, either. Never could justify the cost. Cheaper options that perform much better abound.

I like the pink and coral shades 😀
Becca @ The Beauty Sample says
Despite how easily they can be duped, I am LOVING Please Me and Fiestaware. They’re pretty pretty pretty and so quintessentially summer!

Nail colors…sweet but meh.

Hehe, I really like how you showed the swatches with the dinosaur. 🙂 I miss mine from when I was a kid!
