The $5 Goody Reversible Headband Makes for Goody, Clean Fun

April 18th, 2011 by Karen 26 Comments

Goody Reversible Headband

Maybe I’m just way too easily amused, but I can see myself having a lot of fun with these new Goody Reversible Headbands ($5).

These fabric wrapped headbands are double sided, so when you feel like switching up your look, all you have to do is move the fabric to reveal the other side. It’s like getting two headbands for the price of one.

One minute, I’m sitting in a crowded boardroom. “Pardon me, everyone,” I say, getting up from my seat. “I’ll be right back.” I walk out of the room and around the corner, reverse the headband, and then nonchalantly walk back to my seat. Hehe… Psyche! 🙂

As far as headbands go, it’s great. Comfy and doesn’t squeeze or hurt my brain. It’s really just a headband, though, except with the power of reversibility. It should come in handy when my bangs start to grow out.

PRICE: $5 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Target and Walmart stores
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Whew! We made it through Monday. Did you have a good one? Mine wasn’t bad. No complaints here, but it sure did fly by in a flash.

I hate that about getting older, time flies so quickly! When you’re younger you can’t wait to grow up and when you’re adult you’re wondering where the heck all the time went! I like the headband, it reminds of the perpetual dent I had in my hair as a kid because I had to wear one every day. This is much cuter than the ones I used to wear, though!

Does Goody really think girls are gonna walk around with that white “Goody” tag chilling on their headband? I love my tiny little scissors in my bathroom drawer. I do love that it doesn’t hurt your brain Karen 🙂 Headbands always give me headaches 🙁

I know, right? I’ve been wearing mine around the house so I just flip it so you can’t see the tag, but when I take it out it’s gonna get snipped.

      Hi Gio,

Do you know who makes comfy ones? I have trouble finding some that don’t hurt my head.

thats cute — and i do wear headbands around esp during the weekend. running errands is hard enough, so i try and not add hair in my face to the mix.

hopefully, there are other prints — im kinda wary about the beige side of this one, and would prefer something darker. 🙂

      Hi Nina!

I think there are other prints. 🙂 At first I was kinda “eh” about the beige, too, but I think it’ll match with something khaki.

you know, i thought about it some more.

i have this cute pair of khaki pegged pants – that plus a white tshirt and the headband would be cute! 🙂

Very cute! I can’t wear headbands, though. They give me a wicked headache. Plus, my head must be oddly sloped because they always slip off. 🙂

Normally I can’t either (maybe my brain’s shaped weird), but this one’s really comfy! And it actually stays on!

Really cute. These will be perfect to mask the short little hairs that are suddenly growing back after I started shedding after my baby was born 🙂

People tell me I look cute in headbands. I like to shop the CVS sales when they’re on. Another good place to buy them is Beauty 35 in Manhattan.

i also have a problem with headbands digging into the area behind my ears and giving me headaches. i’m a fiend for headwraps, they are so much more comfortable than headbands, and you can make your own with any lengths of fabric, lace or ribbon! i have a tie rack full and then a huge gallon size apothacary jar full of them as well. maybe headwraps are a better choice for you too!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
