Take Center Stage with Benefit Scene Queen

June 21st, 2010 by Karen 84 Comments

benefit scene queen

So there I was, minding my own beeswax, when I caught Tabs staring at his reflection in the big @ss mirror that comes with the new Benefit Scene Queen The Annie Collection palette ($38). I think he might have been checking his eyeliner (cat’s got wicked tightlining skillz) or plotting makeup larceny…

I swear, Benefit must have a soothsayer on staff because they always know what I’m craving. The particular mix of dramatic neutrals in this stash of goodies for eyes, lips, face and cheeks is, again, right up my alley. The second of two new limited edition Sephora exclusives from Benefit Trend Makeup Artists Annie and Maggie (peep the other palette, Sunday Funday, here), Scene Queen’s big drama is designed to steal scenes (and the limelight).

The palette comes with all the fixin’s for some serious smokey eyes, among other looks, with makeup in shades of blue, gray, beige and black, along with a pop of juicy coral for cheeks and lips, yum! Can you see yourself putting these colors to use before your next big night on the town? Available online now and in Sephora stores next month. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. GOAL! We got Monday out of the way, ladies! I hope you had a good one and got your week off to a great start. What’s on the agenda for tonight? Anyone up for a little Drop Dead Diva online?

these colors…from the shadow to the lips and cheeks…are seriously ideal for you! I rarely buy based on how colors look on someone else, but you have sold me on this set. I will be looking for this first thing the next time I am at Sephora. Truly, though, you look FANTASTIC in these picks.

These palettes are gorgeous! I seriously dont know which one i like better! haha i think i like the eyeshadow shades from the Sunday Funday Palette better since i like more natural looking shadows, but i am really loving the blush, hightlighter and lip shades from this palette! If only they had a palette which combined the two 😛 haha thanks for posting!

I can’t decide whether I like this palette better compared to the Sunday Funday. I absolutely love the packaging of all Benefit products. I think I might go for Sunday Funday though and just get this one some other time. I especially love the built-in mirrors! I’m not too thrilled with the brushes that come with Benefit palettes though. I personally think they’re too ridiculously tiny to be of any decent use. But I guess they’d come in handy when you’re out traveling.

The Craft was the first movie I’ve watched on a dvd! I was probably around 12 years old and I remember It was very disturbing for me. It has all the things I am scared of in real life… nasty insects and losing your hair:/

Actually I never knew that it was a famous movie! I grew up in Turkey and I don’t remember anyone knowing it but me. My cousin gave the dvd to me at the time and I am sure none of my friends had watched it.
