Wearing Benefit Bella Bamba Boxed Blush and Bella Bamba Ultra Plush Gloss
Ever get a hankerin’ for easy-to-apply sheer glosses in shades that match your favorite Benefit boxes blushes?
If you do, Benefit’s latest launch might be of interest.
Why? Because it’s Ultra Plush. 🙂
The six $16 shades that comprise the Benefit Ultra Plush Glosses match some of the lines bestselling boxed blushes.
The Benefit Ultra Plush Glosses
- Bella Bamba: a sheer, bright watermelon
- Dandelion: a soft pearly pink
- Coralista: a sheer coral
- Hoola: a shimmering golden nude
- Dallas: a dusty rose
- Sugarbomb: a shimmering pinkish nude
Officially, they arrive at Benefit counters, stores and Sephora next month, but I’ve heard whispers about it being stocked at some Sephora stores early.
Here’s a brief look at three of the upcoming shades…
Bella Bamba
Hoola
Dandelion

Gotta say, I really like the texture. They feel comfy on my lips, and I like that they’re non-sticky, especially since it’s been so incredibly windy here lately.
They also have a summery fruit punch flavor and scent that’s juuust right, and I’m definitely diggin’ the packaging.
Okay, but what about how they look? Well, they’re certainly sheer…which I’m okay with. I do like sheer lip glosses, but I think Hoola and Dandelion look more or less alike on my pigmented lips.
Still, I think these could turn out to be good purse glosses because they are so sheer, and consequently easy to apply without a mirror. All three add super soft color and shine, but I wish Benefit had given them a tad more pigment.
PRICE: $16 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming to Benefit counters, stores and benefitcosmetics.com next month (allegedly seen at some Sephora stores early)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
saw the blushes at ulta the other day. 😉 should have bought some. I was thinking of getting bella bamba and coralista.
Hi Angela,
The blushes are really great! Have you considered Hoola? That’s another good one.
I will def try hoola! or try all of them, I’m a sucker for anything benefit. ahh..there goes my money..haha…have a great weekend!
We have these at Shopper’s Drug Marts already in Canada and yeah, they are a bit sheer I agree. I always wonder why companies make decisions like that-why not just a bit more pigment?

Hi Tracy,
I love a sheer gloss, for sure, but these would be that much cooler if they had a little more, ya know?
Did you manage to catch Hollywood Treasures the other night?
I did and I love it!!! Thanks so much for telling us about it! Wouldn’t that be a great job hunting for movie treasures? But I’d probably want to keep it all for myself lol!

I desperately want Dandelion blush for my pro kit.
Hi Chris,
It’s a good blush! I was surprised to see it show up on my skin. It does though!
Got any plans for the weekend?
Bella Bamba :), Dandelion is a pretty highlighter-ish product, isn’t it?
It is! I have pale friends who love it as a blush… on darker skin it’s really nice on the upper cheek bones, for sure. 🙂
What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun?
It is a really versatile product! Even works as a blush, when you want something oh so subtle (like it does in your pictures, here).
Weekend plans involve lunch with gal-pals :). Enjoy your b’day weekend :).
What about Coralista, Dallas and Sugarbomb? Have you laid eyes on those belles too?
Benefit, would you PLEASE ditch the scent? Come on!!! Especially as I’m getting my hair done on Saturday (if I come home with more purple, you’ve been warned.)
How have you been? Do you have anything planned for Cat Father’s Day? I made my dad his early Father’s Day dessert–Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes from scratch (aside from the whipped cream. We won’t discuss that. I’m sending evil glares at the heavy whipping cream. I had to use store bought stuff.)
Oh, and I’ll have you know Zena is a star at the nursing home/rehab place my grandma is at. EVERYBODY loves her. Why can’t I have a normal dog, Karen? Why must mine be a Cinderella?
happy birthday, Karen!! I hope you have a great one!
It is too bad these are so sheer, thanks for the honest review and swatches.

I also wish these were more pigmented, because I’m sure they won’t make any difference to my lips. The idea is excellent though. I can see Benefit fans grabbing them!

That is a great idea by Benefit for consumers. Really helps Makeup Newbies in terms of deciding what to buy. Although I do not see professionals grabbing them as a set…
What an awesome idea! Love all three of them!
These glosses look super cute! But if only they had a bit more pigment! these also bring me back to my early Sephora days when Benefit had the VIP Her Glossiness Lip Glosses, I must have gone through at least 3 tubes before they were discontinued!

These glosses look pretty but I’ll pass on them. I have 9 Benefit blushes ( all in fact even the now discontinued in France Georgia and Thrrrob and many lipsticks/glosses/balms so not this time. They arrived in France a few days ago ( 17 € ), I love the packagings, it’s a perfect gift to make blush + gloss !
Benefit knows JUST how to get me. You look GORGEOUS in these photos Karen, the one shoulder thing is totally you!
Ooh! Very cool – I love how you’ve featured them with the corresponding blushers, too. I’m not crazy about sheer glosses, but Bella Bamba does look cute! 🙂

$16 for glosses that are all sheer? Well that’s just crazy-town!

I love the Benefit boxed blushes and I’m definitely eyeing the glosses! 😀 As the blushes are so sheer, I’m not surprised that the glosses are too. Maybe I’ll do Bella Bamba or Coralista for a touch of colour. Thanks for the swatches and btw you look absolutely gorgeous in these shots!

I love how you paired the lip glosses with their respective blushes. I’ve been wanting to see how the two different products compared side-by-side.
I bought Dallas at the Ulta flash sales last weekend, and it is much more pigmented and opaque than the rest of the glosses…… And I’m in love with it!
