Product Review – Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa

Take me back to the tropics, please! As a temporary solution to the post-Hawaii vacation blues, El Hubby and I went to the mall for a mid-week mall date. Weekday mall dates are a great way to unwind when you’re stressed or need a pick-me-up. You window shop at your favorite stores, indulge in a little retail therapy if you have to, and then head on over to the food court for some greasified mall grub. If this sounds like something you did on Friday nights circa 1993 then you know what I’m talking about. Take your man on a mall date, girl! (Just make sure they have some guy-friendly stores there.)

El Hubby hit his favorite stores and I ventured into Bath & Body Works, a.k.a. my home away from home. Usually I don’t pay too much attention to their True Blue Spa line, but my post-vacation-blues-self was drawn to the sunny, tropical packaging. The first thing I smelled was the Bronze Bombshell perfume. I spritzed a little on my wrist and was instantly hooked. It’s just the right mix of beach smells — a little coconut, a little orange, a little white floral — and it doesn’t smell cheap or cheesy. The scent lasts a long time, too. The best part is that it’s only $19.50 for a huge bottle! Sadly this is a limited edition, so if you think you’ll like this then you better get your hands on a bottle soon.

My scented body lotion collection is getting a little out of control, but now that I’ve fallen in love with True Blue Spa I will have to get the Tahiti Sweetie Body Lotion. And the Be More Pacific Shower Cream. And the …

Anyway, what are your favorite tropical/beach/vacation scents? Wherever you are I hope you are enjoying your summer so far.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
