Please Don’t Tocca My Bianca Eau de Parfum Viaggio Set

November 2nd, 2010 by Karen 35 Comments

These little treasures of antiquity are three of Tocca Bianca’s fresh floral scents. I’ve been wanting to try these and the rest of the line for centuries, but I’ve been paralyzed by all of the options at Sephora. I think they call it stimulus overload… Don’t you hate it when that happens?

I’m glad I pulled it together in time for Sephora’s Friends & Family sale. I took advantage of it to snag this trio of scents, called the Eau de Parfum Viaggio set, and its three lovely bottles of deliciousness, 0.51-oz. Tocca Stella, Florence and Cleopatra.

‘

The official fragrance notes…

  • Stella: blood orange, lily, white freesia, orchid, musk and sandalwood
  • Florence: gardenia, bergamot, violet, iris and blonde wood
  • Cleopatra: grapefruit, jasmine, tuberose, patchouli, amber and vanilla musk

Aren’t they adorable? And I love the cool pattern on the box.

WORDS OF WISDOM: If you decide to get the set, be aware that the bottles don’t have a spray diffuser. The mouth is open (kinda like a men’s cologne). I almost opened Florence (no relation to Florence Henderson, aka Mrs. Brady) upside down.

PRICE: $45
AVAILABILITY: At Sephora stores and online

They’re so cute! I’ve had them on my desk all morning. I can’t stop staring at them!

How’s your Tuesday going? I’m about to eat lunch — soup and salad. And maybe a 100 Grand bar or five, haha!

i went to target @ lunch to get some stuff for our bathrooms in the new house … and i confess to buying a bag of halloween candy bec it had the 100 grand bars in the bag! 😀

        its sooooo goooodddd!!!

my tuesday was hectic – work, target and lowes after work to get a new refrigerator. the one we ordered from costco wont get here til the 29th so we had to cancel that order and buy it from an actual store.

got home – packed my clothes (halfway done…) and nommed. now were just taking a breather. 🙂

        how was your day?

I had a feeling you would like them! Isn’t the caramel amazing? I love how it sticks in your teeth.

Ooh, so tell me about your new ‘fridge! We had to buy one last year for the condo and lemme tell you, I was strangely stoked. And I’m not even a kitchen appliance kinda girl.

My day was good. I’m on day two of “I’m turning over a new exercise leaf!” I totally ran this morning… it felt great, but now I’m exhausted.

They’re super cute and I love the design on the caps.

Speaking of caps, Tabs is rocking that one. Congrats to the Giants. 🙂

Oh, and lastly, Go Washington Caps! Sorry, I have a pounding headache and it must be making me silly.

Okay, so one of the reasons why I looove Tocca is because of the weightiness of the caps. These bottles, unfortch, have plastic caps. 🙁 At least they’re still nice to look at.

Anywho, Tabs is now insisting on getting a matching Giants jersey!

I hope your headache goes away soon. Drink some water! That always seems to help me…

Oh, darn it! I know what you mean – I hate looking at something that I think is beautifully engraved or embossed metalwork and then finding that it’s plastic. I feel so duped! 🙂

Keep an eye on Tabs; buying sports apparel can be addicting!

The head is much better this AM. I am testing a new monitor at work and I hate it. We think mine is on its way out, but this “new” one leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully, it won’t bring on a repeat of yesterday’s headache!

I was a little cranky about the caps. The full-sized bottles have ones that are so heavy and fancy, so there were a disappointment.

Thanks for the heads up on the sportswear. I caught him eyeing a Starter jacket online the other day, so I’ll have to hide my credit card.

What’s wrong with your monitor? Maybe there’s a brightness/contrast setting that you can change? Or are the fonts too small?

I’m back! We’ve discovered it’s not my monitor (thank goodness!) so I have my old, beautiful one back. The “new” one was some cheap thing that had been sitting around the computer/spare part room, so the resolution was terrible and the edges blurred. It was awful. We’re thinking it’s now the CPU fan so it’s going to the shop tonight. I’ve already changed it out twice today and now I’ll be dreading getting a new one and having to rearrange my icons and set up my screen saver/desktop. I’m such a whiner, aren’t I?? 🙂 Mantra for today: embrace change!

Oh crap, blurred edges will do that to you. You’re not whining — computer changes can be stressful and difficult. It throws a wrench into your work day, too. Thank goodness for all the great IT people in our lives though, right?

I love Tocca in Cleopatra and Giulietta. Of the two, Cleo lasts much, much longer. Guilietta is like a summer romance on me, way too brief. I can extend it by using the Crema da Sogno body cream and the solid perfume. And I do, because the smell is heavenly.

Just to let you know I think the Toca body cream is some of the best perfumed body creams around. Most of the time when I buy the expensive body cream to go with the expensive perfume it’s a bust. The cream is thin and not moisturizing at all (I’m looking at you Kenzo Amour!) But the Crema da Sogno body cream is luscious and creamy, moisturizing and scented well. It’s also really pricey at 45 dollars a jar, but to me it’s worth it,

Oh boy. Today is the last day of the Sephora F&F sale and now I’m thinking of getting that body cream. I hesitated the first time around because I need a LOT of moisture…

Have you tried the shower/bath gels?

I have a deluxe sample of Cleopatra and I love it! The bottle is super cute, but I wish it came with a spray 🙁 Unfortunately, it gives my boyfriend a very bad headache (this it the only scent other than Ford’s Black Orchid that does it to him), so I don’t wear it too often.
