Philosophy Supernatural Superglossy Lip Gloss SPF 15: Weekend Warrior!

Howzit, home skillets?

Did your Sunday get off to a good start? I haven’t checked in yet because last night’s Lobsterfest/True Blood marathon wore me out. I’m still a little bleary eyed from overdosing on food.

I wanted to quickly mention the new Philosophy Supernatural Superglossy SPF 15 Lip Glosses ($16.50) we talked about the other day.

I’ve been alternating between Share the Love (a creamy, sheer pink) and Live in the Moment (a semi-sheer, shimmery brown) all weekend long. Both colors have been my dressed-down lip glosses, since I’ve been in the mood for casual makeup looks (must be the heat).

Live in the Moment

Share the Love

The deets:

  • Non-sticky, thin and moisturizing texture feels lovely on my lips
  • The faintly minty scent fades quickly
  • Flavorless formula
  • Semi-sheer color
  • High-shine finish
  • The addition of SPF 15 is a nice bonus

I think Philosophy’s got a winner with the Supernatural Superglossy line. I like both of these shades and plan to pick up a couple more.

If you dig uber-shiny lip glosses that don’t feel sticky on the lips, think about giving the Supernatural Superglossies a try. Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

Yikes! I just noticed the time. I’d better get going. El Hub and I volunteered to drive a float in this year’s Labor Day parade here. We’re towing a three-piece band and passing out candy, yum!

I’ll be back soon. Have a great one today.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

      Hi Tavia,

LOL! One of the best things about Philosophy is their clever names. 🙂

Hmm these look very similar on the screen, i would need to check them out physically at Sephora for my next trip. They do look like they are the perfect baby pink though. Just like MLBB!

They look pretty & I like that they’re SPF 15. I’d definitely wear these whilst “kickin’ it” hehe. Damn, I wish I got in on some lobsta. Sounds so yummy.

      Hi Rachel,

Before that day I only had lobster once and it was gross (very dry and tough), but this time around, wow! I officially love it!

How’s your weekend going so far?

They do look similar, I think I will check this out. The SPF 15 is definitely a plus!

      Hi Patti,

Is your skin tone cooler or warmer? If it’s cooler, then you might dig Share the Love. They’re both very pretty, though.

Karen, I really don’t like the bar at the bottom of the blog – the one that stays there even as I scroll down and asks me to sign up for e-mail updates. I hope it’s not there to stay…

Purdy ^^ I’m a little confused though — did you mislabel the first photo, perhaps? It’s telling me that Live in the Moment is pink, but you called it a semi-sheer, shimmery brown… and then in the lip swatches, it definitely has shimmer!

Either way, I’m totally loving the sheer pink gloss 😛 And it has SPF15! How will I ever resist?

Hope the float-driving went well =P

      Hi Catherine,

I checked the box and the active ingredients are octinoxate (7.5%) and Oxybenzone (3.5%). Hope that helps.

They look the same to me…. Share the Love looks like it has a little more shimmer. Does it feel grainy?

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
