Lancôme Must Have Red the Book on Classic Color and Shine Before Creating Mini Les Vernis in Shade 102

November 6th, 2011 by Karen 29 Comments

Lancôme Mini Les Vernis

Somewhere out there is a bottle of Lancôme’s Mini Le Vernis in Shade 102 looking for a new nail to call home. One of five nail lacquers in the new Lancôme The Golden Hat Foundation Holiday 2011 Collection, it’s a true red-lovers dream, with a creamy finish that matches L’Absolu Rouge Lipcolor in Caprice to a T.

One coat delivers rich, opaque coverage and Swarovski-like shine, and if that wasn’t enough, the brush is just the right width, with firm bristles that don’t splay, making the brush easy to control.

The catch? Chips after about a day or so, but only if I don’t wear it with a base and top coat.

PRICE: $15

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Hope you a great day today and a nice weekend. Did you happen to catch The Walking Dead? I’m really starting to like Daryl. That thing he did with the flower was very sweet. And Glenn, of course, is a cutie.

I do not own a Lancome nail polish but I might have to change that for this shade. It’s to die!

Regarding your PS, I am so late to the bandwagon, I just watched the whole 1st season of Walking Dead this past weekend. I need to catch up on the 2nd season STAT because I am addicted. It is SUCH a good show. Personally, Rick grew on me so far 🙂

Gorgeous classic red 🙂 I’ve never tried Lancome’s polishes before I’m now tempted.

Beautiful red! I’ve been curious to try Lancome polishes. I’d somehow missed in your previous post that there are 4 other colors in the collection. Wish we could see the rest on you!

      Hi gals,

Hmm, can you help me narrow down what the issue is? Is it a matter of keeping the polish around the nail tidy?

This is an awesome red! I usually like mine to be a bit more blue than orange, but this has a very classic feel. And one coat for that kind of coverage? Love it! 🙂

Oh, it was so fun! We danced so much that my feet were still throbbing the next day! If you get a chance, you can see some pics of us on FB. My ghosty friend’s step mom took a ton and posted a couple (and tagged me so you can see them on my wall). There were about 350 people and it was a big drinking crowd, but everyone had a blast and had safe rides home. We already had people asking about our 50th! 🙂 We had a really great slide show with about 600 pics of us through the years that played on 2 big screens throughout the night. I can’t imagine how it could have been better. I love those girls – we’re so blessed to have each other!! 🙂

I really am liking reds finally, i.e. I think I’m feeling bolder about my fashion/polish choices, but I can’t get over OPI’s Muppet Christmas collection and Meep-Meep-Meep as my go-to for this holiday season! So shimmery beautiful!

It’s both how to have the coat without tidemarks and keeping it tidy around the nail

So did I. He’s turned out to be a very interesting character. I’m afraid they’re building him up so that he’ll disappoint/shock the audience in some way, though. 🙁

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
