Are they macarons, or are they eyeshadows? Well, that depends. The baked beauties in Laura Mercier’s new Baked Eye Colour Palette ($48) just might be a bit of both.
Like macarons, they make me smile. 🙂 All five of the shimmery shadows in brown, bronze, beige, pink and purple deposit very little fallout on my cheeks, and I love the glowing, wide-awake look their punchy pigments bestow upon my eyes.
The palette, a holiday release, also comes with a time-saving surprise — a dual-tipped brush with a flat eyeshadow brush on one end and a dense, pointed cream shadow brush on the other. I’ve tried the shades both wet and dry with the flat shadow brush and got some fast, fresh looks, and because the shadows adhere to my lids so well, I didn’t have to spend any extra time cleaning up fallout on my cheeks.

If you like punchy pigments with minimal fallout and quick, shimmery eye looks, the new Baked Eye Colour Palette just might be worth your time.

What have you been doing to your eyebrows lately? They look so awesome. Jealous!
Aww, thanks Kate. I’ve been using my usual MAC Concrete Eyeshadow and 266 brush… just doing a stronger, heavier brow. 🙂
Ah, I love these palettes!!!!!! =)
Me too! Laura’s been doing some really pretty ones lately.
Happy holidays! 🙂
Gosh you wouldn’t even need to apply these wet, they look gorgeous dry. But I guess they do have that oomph when applied wet. This palette is amazing !
Wow, very beautiful look! Your skin looks *flawless*

yes ,the shades are really beatyful…i want to use them on 31st night party.
When they are used wet, they are really wow! I have seen this palette around, perhaps one of the places might put it up on sale after Christmas! 😉

This palette is GORGEOUS! And I really love your hair!!!
I love the brown and copper shades in this! Speaking of macaroons, should I go get some? I bought eggnog, maybe that’s enough for me? It IS the holidays after all, so do I get a pass? 😛
These colors are gorgeous. To apply them wet did you just dampen your brush? Did it ruin or change the eyeshadow in the pan when used wet?
Very pretty! I love baked eyeshadows 🙂
Wow these shadows look so amazing on you!
I hella love that! I’ve never tried baked eyeshadowd before. looks so polished and pretty~
ooooh – this looks marvelous — I need it!
