Go From Rushing to Ready in 10 Minutes Or Less With MAC Vera’s New Pearlmatte Powders

MAC Vera Pearlmatte PowdersMaybe it’s a lunar phase or astrological anomaly — the unfortunate kind, like two planets in simultaneous retrograde (wait, is that even possible?) — but whatever the reason, I’ve been running behind every morning this week.

I haven’t had more than 10 minutes to put on my makeup before I’ve had to rush out the door to make it to one place or another on time…

I haven’t taken it lying down, though! In my push not to be tardy, I’ve been grabbing a handful of products over and over again, including the new MAC Vera Pearlmatte Powders ($28 each), of which there are two, both of them limited edition and available now as part of the MAC Vera collection.

Each one contains three powders in matte and pearl finishes. The colors can be worn separately, or swirled together and used as a sheer highlighter/blush with a slight sheen.

Since they’re both fairly sheer, I don’t have to worry about blending out the edges (not much, at least), and I love the whisper of color they lend to my cheeks.

Makes them great for no-makeup makeup looks. 🙂

The colors in both pans seem pretty neutral on my skin, leaning neither too warm nor cool.

Cuties who love corals might lean toward Flower Fantasy, which blooms on cheeks with pearly golden coral, matte bluish pink and pale matte salmon powders; pretties who love pinks may want to try Sunday Afternoon, with its bright pink, matte fuchsia and pearly pale pink shades. 🙂

If you’re perennially pressed for time, give one or both of these sheer blushes with a hint of sheen a try.

PRICE: $28 each
AVAILABILITY: Available now at MAC counters, stores and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+

Karen

I bought the Flower Fantasy one, and got it in the mail today! I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to keep it – I think I will though. It’s more pink and less coral than I expected from the swatches I saw, but looks quite pretty on

I got these but can’t bear to use them! I need to find something else to get obsessed with so I get over the urge to use these and can save them.

I got Flower Fantasy and I’m loving it so far. It has a high sheen finish, but not frosty or glittery at all.

Thank you so much for the review of these great products, that are tried and true by you. I personally can attest to how difficult it can be to find colors, finishes and tones that complement Asian skin. Excellent review that I will definitely look into! 😉
