I’m starting to believe that Chanel creates nail polishes for nefarious purposes…like distracting me while toy poodles are trapped in my garage (more on this shortly).
I’ve just been sitting here for the past 10 minutes losing myself in the shimmery blue Bel-Argus on my nails…
Can you blame me? It’s enchanting… Much like Chanel’s other summer stunner, Azuré.
Like Azuré, limited edition Bel-Argus could alsmost pass for butterfly wings, with the way its iridescent shades shift in the light.
Bel-Argus morphs between bright light and darker blues, and sometimes a blackened navy blueat the edges.
I think the effect’s a little less dramatic than Azuré, but it’ll still stop someone in their Jimmy Choo’s from across the room, nevertheless.
Two coats should do you well, and you may even be able to get away with one. Oh, and yay! — no streaks.

The Case of the Missing Mr. T
This morning my neighbor knocked on my door and told me that he noticed I’d left my garage door open late last night (I must have forgotten), so he went ahead and closed it.
What he didn’t realize at the time was that his lil’ pup, a toy poodle named Mr. T, was also trying to help…
Turns out that Mr. T must have followed my neighbor into the garage, only to get trapped inside when it closed!
It was late, almost midnight, and my neighbor didn’t realize what had happened until he’d walked back to his house.
Mr. T ended up spending the night alone in the garage. Poor lil’ guy!
When I finally freed him this morning, he was overjoyed.
I’m just glad Mr. T is a cute little poodle… There’s a lot of wildlife in this area (wild turkeys, coyotes, raccoon, bobcats, deer). I wouldn’t be surprised if I opened the garage one day to find a wildlife convention taking place near my Mazda, haha.
Do you ever see any wildlife in your area?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

It’s nice to have neighbors like that 🙂

OK, so I might need this as well now, aaargh! I love how it’s not too dark, if I’m making any sense!
Poor Mr. T! Glad he was freed though! Did Tabs look suspicious this morning? 😉

This is a lot nicer than I expected!

Ha, I work in an office on my boss’s 3 acre residence. I often have deer strolling by my window, nibbling on the grass or watching me as I walk down to get the mail. I’ve had a peregrine falcon land on the patio chair, and woodpeckers sitting on the bird feeder right outside my window. Oh,there was also a resident groundhog. Watching the wildlife is one of the best parts of my job 🙂
Steph says
Aww, poor Mr. T!
There are lots of foxes around here. They’re almost tame!

I got so distracted by Azure but wow, this shade is definitely as beautiful! Poor Mr T, didn’t he make a sound while he was in there? We never encounter stuff like that (yet) because we live in the middle of the city but we’re moving soon to the country side, so I can see things like that happening, hah! ^^

Chanel does such beautiful colors~~ I guess I will be parting with some of my hard earned cash on this one!!!!
As for wildlife where I live….lets see….um can you say, bears, turkeys, red tail foxes, lots o deer, coyotes, and a beautiful puma like cat that likes to groom and sun in everyone’s back yard (yes I did say puma like Florida Puma) LOL

Poor little guy! He’s a cute one.
Here I have racoons, possums, a lot of squirrels and birds, Monarch butterflies…
Once last year I found my cat Ernesto in the front yard sniffing a racoon, who was politely sniffing him back!!

Mr. T is so cute! Poor little guy. Hopefully he got the doggie-equivalent of gravy when he got back home!
These colors are both gorgeous!

OH KAREN, your gorgeous posts are COSTING ME SO MUCH MOOLAH! I can’t even… I’m still waiting for that Guerlain bronzer to hit the system. It looked SO good on you. I can’t wait to get it!
(The Chanel nps are ordered and in the mail. If Outdoorkitty enquires about how/why I ended up with them, I shall tell him, “Karen made me do it.”. He has a sister named Karen so it’s going to be a super confusing conversation….)

That color is a beaut, for sure! Poor Mr. T! At least it’s fairly warm this time of year, right?
Oh, heck yeah, on the wildlife. We routinely have porcupines and skunks running up our driveway. Bunnies live in the neighborhood and we’re near the lake so we see the occasional muskrat. We have foxes in town, too. In season, there are tons of geese and ducks (we even had a swan in town this year!). A few miles away, there are bigger critters like deer, coyotes and bears. Even some mountain lions. If you talk to some folks, you’ll hear that we have our very own version of the Loch Ness Monster (Champy). 🙂

Too cute that this teensy fluffy dog has a tough guy name!
Can’t wait to see these Summer Chanel blues in person. Now I am intrigued by both. Seems that Bel-Argus is a little like the blue version of Malice, shimmery goodness with those darkened edges that create an almost duochrome effect. Love that it is not brush-stroke-y, metallics tend to have that problem and it is a pet peeve of mine. Gonna have a hard time deciding which LE to get.

Mr. T looks like he’s smiling in the first pic – I love that! I think he should have his curls shaved into a hawk to match his name LOL! I love me some doggies…

Very pretty polish!

We have squirrels, wild rabbits, sometimes beautiful birds, rarely butterflies. The dog is cute 🙂

I would be absolutely frantic if my dog were missing all night! Poor Mr. T!

Whoa…I’m not usually a huge fan of blue, but this post singlehandedly changed my opinion. What a gorgeous hue!
Iris says
Poor Mr. T. He’s adorable.
We have mice, groundhogs, coyotes, lots of birds (even falcons!), rabbits, and I once saw a squirrel. Quite a bit of wildlife in the suburbs. 🙂
