Girl, you know how BECCA is kind of informally known as, like, the HBIC of beachy-lookin’ makeup? Anyway, I tried wearing beachy wave hair today to go with the BECCA Sunchaser Palette ($34) on my cheeks, and I can’t decide whether my mane looks more artfully tousled or just plain messy.
Eh, I’m gonna go with messy.
Sunchaser is an LE cheek palette that came out earlier this spring, and it’s still available. It’s a wonderful warm-toned blush, bronzer and highlighter, and if you bring it home, you’ll pretty much be covered through the end of summer.
Don’t worry about golden tan Ipanema Sunset bronzer leaving a galaxy o’ glitter on your cheeks, because even though it looks sparkly in the pan, the finish is more satiny matte on cheeks (if you love it so much that you can’t live without it, there’s also a full-size pan of Ipanema in the permanent line).
Coral Apricot Blossom blush is matte, too, and hot damn! — look at that pigment. When was the last time I only needed (ONE!) swipe for both cheeks?? I can’t remember. But that’s what is happening here, so use the lightest of touches when you sweep it on those apples.
I’m pretty sure it’s an LE shade because I haven’t seen it in the BECCA permanent collection.
It’s been a minute since I’ve worn BECCA Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector, the warm golden highlighter from the permanent line, and I don’t know if BECCA changed the formula, or if my taste in highlighters has evolved, because this one is much more shimmery than I remember. I ended up buffing it down, which wasn’t hard because Opal is just as easy as ever to blend.
Actually, now that I think about it, everything in this palette is easy to blend, so you’re unlikely to accidentally paint blush/bronzer/highlighter stripes on your cheeks (which I’ve totally done before, the horror!).
The verdict
I’m into it. I highly recommend this palette, especially for tan beauties, because those warm colors look lovely on toasty skin.
And even though the blush, bronzer and highlighter are all WAY pigmented, they’re still pretty easy to blend. As long as you blend a little, you shouldn’t end up with obvious lines on your cheeks.
The $34 price also seems reasonable overall for a high quality product like this.

Beautiful palette, and a really reasonable price!
I tried a kind of Pinterest-y side fishtail braid today but my hair is just so fine, even unwashed, with dry shampoo and hairspray, it just starts falling out. It was fun to try I guess.

Looks like a great product! I love Becca :). I will probably skip this one just because I have similar shades in my collection, but if I were after a palette, I’d definitely check this one out x

Hi Karen, I was looking for a review cause i’ve been seeing this palette all over the social media for a few months ? and could not decide if I need it or not ?
My only fear is that the bronzer is shimmery. I have a combination skin and would like to know if you think it would look ok on me. Don’t wanna be too much shiny, ya know ?

The price is totally awesome and the three face colours look perfect and natural.
Mhhh… not bad, not bad 🙂

I probably couldn’t pull off the bronzer, too warm and pigmented for my pasty white ass. Great for medium tones though!

Disagree! Hair looks great (and so does makeup). 🙂
