Are You an Aveeno Kinda Girl or Guy?

AHHHHHHH

Ahhhhh, Aveeno! Remember that ad? Whoever dreamt that up is the real MVP because here I am, years later, saying “Ahhhhh, Aveeno,” every time I use Aveeno.

I’ll admit it; I’m an Aveeno girl, and I always have something from Aveeno in my bathroom.

In fact, I just picked up a couple refills from Targhay for Stress Relief Body Wash (creamy, smells like lavender, and it’s hella hydrating and comes in a big ol’ 33-oz. bottle for $9.99) and Baby Wash & Shampoo ($8.99), which Coywolf loves because it doesn’t sting her eyes.

They’re everyday staples for us.

Aveeno is on the pricier end of drugstore skin care, but if you have dry or sensitive skin, you might want to give it a try. I’m basically a living, breathing human alligator woman (translation: I have very dry skin), and everything body-care related by Aveeno agrees with me — the body washes and lotions, especially. They moisturize all the parched places (MY SHINS) and leave ’em happy. No flakes or dry spots, ever, thank you very much.

The scent depends on the item, but generally they’re light and non-obtrusive, so the products smell good, but they don’t give me a headache or interfere with perfume. Aveeno also makes a lot of unscented versions of their products, too.

I’m really into the Stress Relief lavender scent right now, so much so that I plan to grab the matching Stress Relief Lotion as a treat for myself next time I do a Target run, because I’m all about the affordable drugstore luxuries lately. 🙂

Since you put the spotlight on them, I just might! I like the small ingredient list and drugstore price.

It’s weird how different people’s skin types are! Aveeno has never worked that great on my dry, eczema-prone skin, and sometimes my eczema reacts badly to it and it makes my hands sting.

Like you, Aveeno has never worked well for me and has, in fact, irritated my skin or left it wanting for hydration. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with the individual ingredients, I assume it is how the products are formulated that doesn’t agree with me. I have dry, mature skin with well-controlled rosacea.

I have to admit that I have never tried Aveeno because I am a Nivea-girl! ?

I’ve only tried lotions, and they do work well for my hands (especially that one that had a non-greasy protective coat kind of thing) when I used to work in a grocery store was essential. I try not to use too much since it’s a lot of chemicals I’m not so sure about. For full body moisturizing I stick with simpler, natural products.

Yes, I’ve tried Aveeno face moisturizers before and really liked them. I haven’t tried their body products yet. The stress relief body wash sounds lovely! I will have to check it out next time I’m at the store.

I love Aveeno. Their Eczema Therapy Cream does great stuff for my face when it’s really angry and irritated, and I’ve used their baby wash as face wash. Love it on my body too!

May I suggest Jergens’ Lavender Body Butter? Full of all the goodies like shea butter and a lovely not overpowering or medicinal lavender scent. Best of all about $7.00 a tube!

It’s so funny how everyone has different experiences with different products. I can’t stand Jergens products, Nivea does nothing for me, but I love Aveeno lotion. It (along with the Neutrogena HydroBoost line) is the quickest to absorb, most hydrating, and least irritating to my sensitive skin. Mom likes the Aveeno sunscreen, too.

Side note: did y’all know there is now a Neutrogena HydroBoost mascara? Also a HydroBoost lipgloss in at least ten shades, along with a lip treatment. Inquiring minds want to know. Inquiring minds also have the mascara in their Amazon cart, lol.

I bought Aveeno lotion when the boys were babies but didn’t stick with it when they got older. I’m dry, too, but don’t really splurge on body wash or lotions (I usually pick up good ol St. Ives when it’s on sale). 🙂

Do I was on the beach reading a mag and there was an advertisement for Aveeno spf 30 .
I couldn’t get to Target fast enough . And just that fast I had an allergic rash . I had to call my doc for an RX
