If you’re sheltering in place over the next couple weeks and looking for things to do with someone in the house, let them unleash their inner artist by doing a makeover…ON YOU!
I busted out an old LE Tarte palette I’ve had for ages but haven’t used, a few matching bright eye pencils, a handful of brushes and a bright lipstick (which I let Connor Claire choose…so of course she picked the brightest reddish orange!).
Then we parked ourselves in her room, played some tunes, and I let her have at it.
On, in case you’re wondering, the lipstick is MAC Retro Matte in Dangerous.
I’m pretty impressed with her application, LOL!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Hahahaha! She did a wonderful job cause you are definitely glowing! What a wonderful activity to do right now! wish my 15 year old boy would wanna do it too – but I highly doubt it! 😂 Stay in there!!! ❤️❤️❤️

He might! It could be fun if he’s artsy… Just like painting, but on someone’s face!
DUDE. Ever since I saw the link to Megan Markles’ fabulous blue eyelids, I’ve been looking for a palette EXACTLY like this! I’m sad it’s an older one but maybe when this all blows over I’ll spring for the Huda Sapphire Obsessions.
It’s about to get all creative (and clean, with laundry done??) in households all over!
Yes it is! And in households with bakers, FULL OF CARBS. lol
Would Connor Claire consider doing a tutorial for this fabulous look? I’m not sure I have the skills to recreate it without some guidance. 😄 I love how seriously she’s concentrating in the last pic- so adorable! My older girls used to enjoy ‘fixing my hair’. It was quite an experience, lol.
She is on trend for 2020, her skills have made you look positively celestial! MUAC
She’ll have the tutorial up on her Youtube channel shortly, LOL!
I like her work on your one eye. very unique 😉
My two youngers like to “do my makeup” and it’s always a cross between some kind of “superhero” and an animal, but it devolves into seeing how much color they can mash onto my face while I sit there LOL SO MUCH EYESHADOW UP MY NOSE. They laugh and enjoy it so much though, and my 10YO just shakes his head and pretends not to know me. I have gone out once like that because we had a hockey practice and….it was a look. Good luck at home Karen. I’m still able to come into the office as I don’t work with the public but it is an unsettling feeling for sure. I hope keeping the kids cooped up helps prevent the flood of people into the hospitals but wow it is sure challenging to explain this to the kids. Hugs to you!!
Hugs back to you, Angela. It’s weird, kids always seem to know so much more than you think they do. The other day Connor told me that her imaginary horse, Maximus, went to Target to buy toilet paper and hand sanitizer. She also asked me if she could visit her best friend’s house when “coronavirus is gone.”
I was just going to say “girl knows where to put that lipstick”. HAHA! I think it’s a great activity and, luckily, Connor is at an age where she is going to find lots of things to do while cooped up in the house. You, Rosie and El Hub had better be on your toes. 😉 On another positive note, this is also much better than cooking/baking (and eating) to pass the time. I guess there is always something to clean – especially these days!!
Girl, you know I’ve been stress baking. LIKE A LOT. I’m gonna post a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie recipe soon.
It’s very Milan Fashion Week Avant Garde! LOL!
Yes it is, especially the squiggly purple monobrow, ha ha ha!
What a creative way to have some fun! I’m thinking I should use this time to practice some new makeup techniques. Connor did a great job! 🙂
Yes! And if you have any video conferences, you’ve got the chance to show off your look!
Will there be a tutorial on how to double cleanse when removing this beautiful makeup artistry?
She did a lovely job!
I hope you all stay healthy. Not sure if things are as whack-doodle in the north bay as they are down here on the peninsula.
Things are absolutely CRAZY. I just found out that her school will be closed until mid-April. Looks like the bakery will be shutting down soon, too. This is the new normal… I’m not a fan. LOL
How are things with you? I know your hubby travels a lot. Is he home? Where is your babygirl?
Schools down here are closed through at least April 6th or 7th. Sorry that the bakery will be shutting down. I’m not a fan of this either. Not sure I was meant to be around Dear Husband 24/7. I guess this is what I get for complaining that he used to be gone so much. Lol.
Dear Daughter just got back from Houston on Monday. She’s a bit freaked. Dear Husband picked her up at airport and I sent up TP because I noticed when I went up to her apartment to feed her cat she didn’t have any and as you know, it’s become a valuable commodity.
Dear Husband got home from his last trip to Japan Feb 23rd. Looks like he won’t be going back for a while. Kinda sucks because he made one really good new contact that looked like it might have turned into some solid work.
Hope you stay healthy and stay sane.
Wonderful job, Connor! Awesome to see your smiles during this strange time for us all. Sending best wishes from NYC!
Sending you good vibes back from Northern California, Sharon. 🙂 Take care of yourself!
