I’m really excited for these! Based on online swatches, I think the lipsticks are the winners in this collection. I’m not very interested in MAC nail polishes though as I’ve heard they’re rather poor in quality. 🙂

I like ’em both… but I think I like Prim & Proper *that* much more. A lot of it is a usage issue. I tend to get more mileage out of neutral blushes that are easy to apply, and Prim & Proper delivers that.

Which one are you leaning toward?

I am leaning toward dirty plum because it is so unique but I agree that neutral blushes go a long way, and I’d love to get more neutral blushes too. Must pick just one though when I see them in person, as I need to stock up on prep and prime powder, an eyeshadow palette and blanc type and tete-a-tint eyeshadows 🙂

Speaking of Prep + Prime Powder, I have been really loving it lately. 🙂 I’ve had it for a while but sorta forgot that it was in my stash… I’ve been wearing it for the past few days, and now I remember why I feel in love with it in the first place!

Anyhoo, if you’re feeling the Dirty Plum more then I say GO FOR IT!

Love that lippy on you… may have to try it. Liberty’s was always one of my fave shops when living in London. I may have to shell out for the scarf. Would love the blue nail varnish but was sooo disappointed in the last two I bought from MAC – such poor quality. I vowed never to buy them from MAC again unless they reformulated.

It was a first for me too, to hear You. You are a lot perkier in sound than I imagined – although I should’ve known based on all those fun quirky dancing photos. 🙂

Thank you! I made up the name, ha ha…didn’t hear it anywhere either. Actually, I was thinking of the name Aida (“ayeedah”) but didn’t like the sharp sound of the “d” in it, and played with different letters till “v” came up…I liked it as Ay-vah and not Ay-ee-vah, and it seemed prettier than just plain A-v-a. ^_^ So Aiva it is! =)

It must seem sound weird to you to hear your voice. I remember when I was in high school and we had to do a video project thing in French class, I remember watching my video and not believing my voice was that high. I’ve always had a soprano voice, but it sounded so WEIRD. I knew it was going to be hard hearing me as I’m naturally quiet but the fact it was so high was bizarre. Your voice sounds so much lower in your own ears.

Oh yeah! I agree about how weird it is to hear your own voice. I’m a teacher, but during my student teaching years, we had to record a few lessons we did, and I sounded like a little girl! I still do. =P But I do have a “teacher voice” and utilize it when needed. =) But all in all, I do love teaching – it’s so much fun!

Mine sounds lower too, almost alto-like, in my own ears. Then you hear your own voice and you’re stuck thinking, “Oh my God, do I actually sound that way?” and you go around asking all your friends if your voice is really as high as it is in the video.

Oh yea, I’m still bitter about that. My dad laughed hysterically…until he saw the price he was paying for new ones (to the tune of $80, ha ha ha). Revenge is sweet. I should have the damage on Facebook in about twenty minutes just so I can forever document the evidence and remind myself why I shouldn’t dry them on the table! I still can’t believe she did that!

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
