Phew. I need much less of this collection than I was fearing. Thank goodness I already have Strange Potion! The *only* want two of the lipsticks, the teal eyeliner, the blush, and maybe a sun tint just because. Thanks for the swatches Karen!

Karen, do you think this is the same Saffron as the one that was released with the Mickey Contractor collection?

That cheek powder looks gorgeous, and so does the Swell Baby shadow. I wonder if it would show as a true iridescent when foiled?

Hmmm… I think they’re all just… nice. I’m not really overwhelmed, although, they do look lovely against your skin tone. I feel like they would look bland on me 🙁 And I don’t even like the packaging. This is such a weird day for me to pass entirely on a MAC collection!

Yeah swatches. This collection is coming out in Dublin next week ( on this rare occasion Europe is launching the collection a few weeks before America although we don’t get fashion flower and flightly till June). Normally the American blogs have loads of swatches out before I can buy but it has been really weird this time around not seeing many reviews so this is great to see swatches on your site! I think I will get the 2 stacks and then start saving for semi precious!

Orange is funny… you’d think it would be scary to wear but sometimes it just works!

What do you like to wear Saffron with?

i like to use it alone, w/ a brown liner or paired w/ soft brown 🙂

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
