Before there was strobing, there was MAC Strobe Cream, and EEK! — now it’s available in five different shades.
Yeah, and they’re in the permanent line, so if you happen to fall in love with one of them (ahem, “Peachlite!”), no worries. They’re here to stay.
Also, no worries — the original Strobe Cream is still in the lineup. It just has a new name: Pinklite.
If you’ve been reading MBB long, you probably know that I’ve been loving and wearing Strobe Cream for years.
Basically, it’s an opalescent highlighter/pearly highlighting lotion, but please don’t let that scare you, even if the thought of wearing shimmer all over your face sounds terrifying…
It does to me, right? — because, hello, pores. But Strobe Cream is subtle.
Of course, if you feel like going the BA-BLING highlighting route, the new In the Spotlight collection also includes four new Extra Dimension Skinfinish highlighters.

I have three mini tubes of the original Strobe Cream from ordering things online from MAC, LOL. It’s so nice and subtle. I mean, a lot of the time I want a really banging highlight, but it’s great for more subtle looks.

So good to see and hear you again,Karen! These strobe creams look great but I think I’m more attracted to the Skinfinishes!

annd no skinfinishes to be found! I don’t know if that means they already sold out or if they just haven’t gone live yet, but it does say there will be more. I’ve never tried the strobe cream, but I’m excited about the extra dimension compacts! Karen, when you say, like, “pink that breaks gold”, do you mean in a duochrome, shifty type of way? Can’t wait to see them in person! 🙂
