OK, I totally get it. MAC-aholics are always questing to find “The Newest Newness,” but every now and zen (hint, hint), a MAC collection comes along that puts the classics in the spotlight. And ya know what? I’m not mad at it.
The new Lunar Illusions collection highlights so many MAC must-haves. The Now and Zen eyeshadow palette alone is packed with greatest hits like Soft Brown (LOVE), Honey Lust, Omega, Expensive Pink and good ol’ Tilt, which is a beautiful bluish green…and that’s just for starters!
The shades may be repromotes, but that LE packaging is a fresh twist, so if you’re on the market for a replacement tube of Ruby Woo Lipstick, why not grab one of these for fun?
You can find the entire collection online now and at select MAC counters.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Hi Karen! I was the one who said hi at Trader Joe’s the other day! I was with my daughter and told her all about you and your kitty affinity (we’re cat people too). It was fun, because we felt a little star struck! Then I was worried that I intruded on your personal time and so wanted to move on quickly, but also wanted to let you know that I love your blog for its beauty insights, humor, and of course, cat posts! Take care!

Hi Kelly,
I was so thrilled to meet you (and relieved that I was wearing makeup, to be honest)! Seriously, I didn’t feel intruded upon at all. If we see each other again at TJ’s, let’s take more time to chat. I’ll introduce you to Connor.
Now if only we could take our cats to Trader Joe’s, ha ha ha!
Hopefully we’ll run into each other again soon.
P.S. What’s your kitty’s name? Sadly my darling Tabs passed away last spring. I miss him every day. We were lucky, though, to adopt a very sweet girl named Rosie in October.

Oh, good! I’m glad to hear I didn’t cross the line. 🙂 I actually noticed you because my daughter (Phoebe, she’s 9) was commenting on how cute your daughter was. And I was like, wait! That’s Karen! So cool. And, that’s funny, because I too was thinking about how I looked (I don’t put much effort into running errands!). You looked even more adorable than in your pictures if that is even possible!
We have two cats: an almost 17-year-old girl (a now unfortunately named, Isis, but she was named after the Egyptian goddess way before the same name ended up in the news) who we’ve had since she was a kitten and a 9-ish-year-old boy (Mr. Henry Bubbles) who we adopted last summer. Isis’ litter mate, Penelope (P-lo was her nickname), who we also had since a kitten passed away a couple summers ago and we (human and feline alike) were *devastated*. Mr HB is an awesome guy and has helped fill that hole a little and so your posts about Tabs and Rosie have really resonated with me!
If our paths ever cross, I’ll say hello again! Keep up your awesome work! I look forward to your posts every day.

Yes, please! Or maybe I could email you and we could get together someday? That would be fun. Connor’s at an age where I’m finally starting to feel like I have breathing room to socialize so I would love to make more friends in town. Plus you could show me all your cat pictures, LOL!

That would be lovely! I found your email on your contact page. I’ll send you a note. 🙂

I love the blush duo. I swatched it on my arm quickly this weekend but it looked kind of dull. It looks so much better on you. Your look is gorgeous as usual. Also love tilt.

Oooh I love that packaging!

The packaging is beautiful! I am not really in the market for new eyeshadows, but I might make an exception for that beautiful set!
