MAC Aladdin Collection Swatches

May 28th, 2019 by Karen 14 Comments

mac aladdin collection
The new limited edition MAC Aladdin Collection, available now

Even though I’ve had very little real-life experience with magic lamps, I do know this much: Your wish, no matter what it is, will always end up a little wonky.

OK, usually a lot wonky.

HELLA WONKS, if you will.

Like, if you wish for a million dollars, you’ll get a million dollars…but it’ll be in shredded $5 bills that have been stuffed into random prickly cactus plants spread out across the Mojave Desert.

Those genies, man. They’re tricky.

I may not be a genie, but if you wish to see swatches of the new MAC Alladin collection on NC42 skin, I can make that come true, no strings attached!

Below are swatches of the entire collection — the first three are overview swatch pics, and closeups with the product names come after.

FYI, the eye quad and black liner are sold out (but the black liner is just a re-promote of Technakohl in Graphblack, which you can still get in the permanent collection in the regular packaging), but everything else is still available.

Question before you go: If you were given the opportunity to take a magic carpet ride, would you?

Man, I’d hop on that rug in a heartbeat, homie!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Love the swatches! So cute and in keeping with the Aladdin theme.

I bought the lipsticks in Princess Incognito and Rajah – they’re such beautiful colours, I couldn’t resist!

And I’d totally go for a magic carpet ride 🙂 A Whole New World is my all-time favourite Disney song!

Thanks, Mia! Have you seen the new movie yet? I might take my daughter this weekend.

I’d be all over that magic carpet! 🙂 The animated Aladdin with Robin Williams is one of my faves. I still quote lines from it on occasion.

Me too. Why did they have to re-make it? LE SIGH. Are you going to see the new one? I’m thinking of taking Connor to the early showing on the weekend.

I feel like they remake everything that was awesome. And the remakes aren’t as great. I’m definitely not itching to see the new one. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. HAHA! But I would absolutely see it if the boys were Connor’s age again. She’ll probably love it. 🙂

I wasn’t impressed with the eyeshadow palette when I walked past it at Ulta, but these swatches are making me change my mind! I might have to check out a few of those lipsticks too. I love the packaging of this entire collection!

I love the fun swatches! It’s really creative.

I think the eyeshadow looks pretty on your skin, but it doesn’t look nearly as pink/purple on mine, so I passed on it. I surprisingly like the way Rose pigment looks, but those chunky pigments are a pain to work with. I passed on the whole collection, but your swatches are making me change my mind.

Wow, those are the fanciest swatches ever! Beautiful job, Karen.

That eye palette is a bit frosty for me, but I’m loving the lipsticks.

I’m not going to see the movie; nothing could ever top Robin Williams for me. One of my girls is seeing it today- her class went as a last day of school treat. Last day of school, woo hoo!!! I think I’m more excited than either of the girls.

I love the way you did the swatches with the jewels and embellished lines. So pretty and creative!
I was eyeing the shadow palette. Guess I might have dragged my feet too long.

The movie trailer impressed me so much that I ran on the premiere here in Europe. The movie was ah-mazing!!! Gorgeous actors! Amazing decorations! Fantastic music! And Will Smith which is a brand itself!
I also was looking for that LE Mac collection, but it’s almost impossible to get it here in EU, except from lookfantastic.com. However… almost all the collection was sold out fulminantly in couple of days and actually a week before the movie launched😭.
Anyway, the movie is AMAZING! I will go and watch couple of times more and then will buy DVD😊. Magic carpet ride? Yess, please! Over the Whole New World preferably with Mena Massoud next to me😗😙

Karen, that’s such a neat way to showcase the swatches – I love it!

Arrgh, dang it – really tempted by that eyeshadow palette, along with the rose pigment…. but I’m on a no-buy for the next few months (unless if it’s Chanel and the wonderful products Lucia Pica’s been creating. Then all bets are off)! 🙂

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
