A Travel Exclusive: MAC Packed These 3 Cremesheens To Go

February 15th, 2011 by Karen 41 Comments

MAC Packed to go 3 cremesheens double dare

G’morning and happy Tuesday, cutie pie.

I thought you might like to see another of those MAC travel exclusives, and this one’s a real trip (LOL!). It’s called 3 Cremesheens, and it’s part of the new MAC Packed to Go collection.

Like all of MAC’s other travel exclusives, 3 Cremesheens will spend most of its time at select domestic and international airports and duty free stores when its flight arrives this spring (prices will vary by location).

I’d originally heard that the set would include Boy Bait, one of my favorite Cremesheens, but that appears incorrect. The set I have came with a pretty light pink called Right Image instead.

Coverage comes in at sheer-to-medium, which means they have a fair amount of pigment for a gloss, and I love how smooth, slick and non-sticky the MAC Cremesheen Glass glosses feel on my lips. With them, I think MAC did one of the better jobs out there in Lip Land when it comes to scent and taste — it’s a yummy light vanilla — getting the intensity of both just right.

I’m the odd person out who tends to prefer her glosses sticky. I find they last longer if they are.

I think I’ll check out some Cremesheens in general now, since I’m not going to be in an airport anytime soon. The formula sounds right up my alley!

They feel really nice on the lips. Since they don’t last very long, you gotta be cool with reapplying often.

OK, Double Dare looks awesome, but I’m resisting the temptation to purchase any lip products since I know I won’t wear them! 🙂

Haha, I’m the same way with crazy-looking false lashes. My inner drag queen loves them, but I know I probably won’t want to exert the effort. 🙂

I’m with you there! I’m crazy about false lashes too, but have yet to try them (I have an irrational fear of gluing my eyelids shut or yanking out my own lashes by mistake)! 🙂

You are not alone! If/when you’re feeling adventurous maybe try cutting your false lashes in half first? That’s the only way I can seem to work them. Gluing on shorter bits is much, much easier than the full-size ones!

LOL… I figured as much. I’ve been in this boat before with El Hub. The trick to give the dude the specific product name. Then, tell him to go directly to somebody who works there and ask, “Do you have this?” Most of the time it works, LOL!

Double dare is sooooo pretty! I may have to check out the cremesheens again. I have had an aversion to Mac glosses in the past but it might be worth trying them again for such a pretty color. Karen – is there going to be a list of airports that have these products? I looked for them 2 weeks ago in the Ontario, Denver, Las Vegas and New Orleans airports but did not see them at all.

I am totally loving Double Dare on you. I am definitely going to have to check that out. I am so with you on the formula feeling fab on. I’ve been wearing Partial to Pink all week.

In other gloss news, Chanel contacted me to say that the notice I got about Boy being sold out and my order cancelled was an error. To make it up to me, they are going to overnight my tube. Yeah!

      Hi Grace,

As far as I know the Packed to Go Brush Sets are available only at airports and duty free stores. A couple years ago MAC made a few travel exclusives available on their website, so there may be a chance that they’ll do that again with this collection, but it doesn’t happen often.
