Hi Karen!
You’ve still got that post-vacation glow!
Today I’m wearing:
EYES: Just a touch of RMS Burti cream bronzer and Ilia limitless lash mascara. And Kosas air brow
CHEEKS: Tower 28 luminous tinted balm in power hour. I highly recommend these! They can easily be built up or sheered out and I love the colors.
LIPS: Merit tinted lip oil in Marrakech
BASE: Kosas revealer concealer on my cheeks and a tiny bit in the corners of my eye blended out. Kosas cloud set powder.
I’m also wearing the Tula rose glow eye balm. Which isn’t exactly makeup (maybe skin care?). It doesn’t do anything miraculous for under eye puffiness or darkness in my experience, but it feels so cooling going on and I feel like it provides a little something something. No glitter or OTT shimmer. Nice for the summer!
Karen says
Hi Megan!
I’m so curious about the Tower 20 Tinted Balms! Glad to know that it’s good stuff (*adds to cart*).
Happy Friday to you. What are your plans for the weekend?
Megan says
I have a charity pickup scheduled for 7/17 so I’m getting a little closet clean out done. I hope to get some plants for my screened porch and a trip to Trader’s. It’s prob been 2 months since I’ve been and I wanna check out what’s new for summer before it’s over!! Happy Friday!
Karen says
Good for you for having the strength to pass those items on. I know it’s hard, but it’s so freeing in the end. Have fun shopping at TJ’s, and if you see any Ube Ice Cream don’t hesitate to pick it up. 🙂

Hi Karen!
Neat idea to see what makeup products are common or may be unique among us.
Base: COVERGIRL AquaSmooth Compact Foundation with SPF 20, Buff Beige 725
Eyes: Almay Shadow Trio, Hypoallergenic, Cruelty, Oil, Fragrance-Free, Eyeshadow Palette – Smoldering Embers, Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara, Very Black
Cheeks: COVERGIRL Cheekers Blendable Powder Blush, 105 Rose Silk

Now that I list everything, I see it’s a drugstore day but a fun collection…and done with a light hand.
I love your lip color! Will look for it.
Happy day!
Ruth-Anne

Karen says
Hello to you from the other side of the world, Carina! I’ll have to try Patisserie (an old fave) as a blush; what a great idea.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Carina says
Thank you so much, Karen. Have a nice weekend, too <3
Patisserie is sooo underrated imho. It is such a nice soft everyday colour in a very comfortable formula and I think it suits everyone. I have to admit I like it even more as a soft rosey blush.
I was sooo craving a cream blush last year after the beginning of covid, but I was not sure if it would agree with my combination skin. So instead of buying a cream blush I remembered that Lisa Eldrige often uses in her tutorials the used lipstick as cream blush to match the colour. And MACs lustre formula is perfect for it, because the colour is not too intense.
I dab it with my fingers on my cheekbones and like that it is so quick and easy.

Today I am wearing Alba Botanical Face Shield SPF 45 underneath Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude, the eye brightened/concealer in 2N, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, LM matte bronzer in Soliel 1, LM Caviar mascara & L’Oreal waterproof on top of that, LM eye pencil in Brown Copper and Sunbum lip balm. Oh, I forgot, LM Caviar stick in Wild Rose. I am really loving it!
Had so much fun at the Jersey Shore! Looking forward to the weekend! Be well!
Karen says
The sticks are so good! Don’t you just love how they glow?!
Have a great weekend!

Today was all about minimal makeup and maximum laundry.
FACE — Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50 mixed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer, Clinique Almost Powder Makeup
EYES — Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Brag Volumizing Mascara
After the sheets went in the dryer I tried out LA Girl ProConceal HD in an attempt to cover my dark circles. It performed rather well. ??

Hi. I was admiring your earrings. I think they are beautiful and look good on you. If I may ask, where did you get them?
Today I’m not wearing anything on my face but sunblock, and some eyestuff (for the wrinkles).
I’ve been reading your blog for a few years now. It is one of the things I do after checking the stock market and before youtube. (^*^)

Nikki Wogoman says

BASE — Fenty Match Stix in Amber (cheek contour), Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch concealer and Soft Matte foundation in 110
NOTE: I know I have some discontinued products listed here. I just go by my senses when deciding when to throw away makeup-basically I get rid of it if it smells bad, looks different, or otherwise doesn’t work right; and if it’s still in good shape, I use it either until I run out and have to replace it or until it does go bad.
Anne says
I am wearing MAC as well, but Satin Taupe (rediscovered it last year and haven’t stopped wearing it since) and a bold lip, but one of the Astor Lip Crayons, as they are very comfortable.
