Soap & Glory’s New $15 Body Butter Set Has All the Right Smoothes

November 5th, 2014 by Karen 26 Comments

Soap & Glory All the Right Smoothes (1)

Oh, noes!

My bathroom shelf is buckling under the weight of a mountain of body lotion. What should I do?

I know! I’ll ADD EVEN MORE BODY LOTION TO THE SHELF.

El Hub would probably attempt to counter this logic, but whatevs. I’m a fickle girl who likes multiple moisturizing options. 🙂 Soap & Glory’s new super affordable $15 All The Right Smoothes Set provides three.

Soap & Glory All the Right Smoothes (2)

How could I not like this set when one of the three moisturizers in it smells a little (OK, a lot) like Coco Mademoiselle, my all-time favorite fragrance by Chanel? It’s called The Righteous Butter, and that’s a perfect name for it. The stuff layers so well with Coco that I plan to get a full-size tub after I finish the set’s 1.69-oz. sampler.

Soap & Glory All the Right Smoothes (3)

All three of these moisturizers smell delicious to me, but two of them — Sugar Crush and Butter Yourself — actually make me want to gnaw on my arms when I wear them.

Sugar Crush smells like a sugary lime margarita, while Butter Yourself has this passion fruit and orange smoothie thing going.

Soap & Glory All the Right Smoothes (4)

None of the three butters, each of which have a different formula, contain parabens, sulfates or pthalates.

More deets…

  • The Righteous Butter: This one lives up to its name! It channels Chanel Coco while moisturizing with shea butter, aloe vera and Vitamin E. Points for heavy hydration.
  • Sugar Crush Body Buttercream: Like wearing whipped cream, and it softens skin with shea and cocoa butters, lime and almond oils, and kiwi juice water.
  • Butter Yourself Super Rich Butter Cream: This one exfoliates with AHAs and softens your skin with shea butter.

Soap & Glory All the Right Smoothes (5)

Seems like a pretty good deal as another “just in case” potential gift idea for $15, but be warned — you might be tempted to keep it for yourself.

I thoroughly intended to save it for my BFF Jen…but then I took a second sniff and caved.

Whoops! Sorry, J. 🙂

The set of three 1.69-oz. jars is available now online and at Sephora stores.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Happy hump day!

I always wanted to try Soap & Glory and might have to buy this set as a gift for myself because it’s such a great deal! It’s a perfect gift too.

I love tubs of body butter! However, I am being “good” and finishing up a Josie Maran Limited Edition Be Comforted Argan Body Butter (which is lovely and half way finished 🙂

      Hi Monica,

Oooh! I haven’t tried that one. Does it have a scent?

Yes, the scent is honeysuckle and white tea .. it’s a lovely scent. It’s still available on qvc .. even though I bought it May of 2013 (so much for the “limited edition” hype!). It’s is a nice body butter, I’d repurchase.

It smells like a tropical vacation! Now I wish I was headed to the beach, LOL! It’s chilly here in the Bay Area these days.

      Hi Amy,

It’s a nice set! Gotta love anything that gives you a chance to try the different “flavors” (LOL).

Have you tried anything from Soap & Glory before?

I haven’t tried their products before, but after browsing them on Sephora that may change sooner rather than later 😀

They have some cute stuff! I just started using them again after a break and am really enjoying them. Right now I’m trying out an eye cream — so far, so good.

Speaking of Sephora, will you be shopping the VIB sale?

I’ve been eyeing these for a while but I wasn’t sure if they were more than a gimmick. I think I’m sold on this set now lol. The scents and ingredients sound great

I’m such a sucker for the travel sized lotions, especially during the cooler weather when I always feel like I have alligator hands. I would have been tempted to keep the set for myself, too. 🙂

I always have to have a tube/tub of lotion with me. You know what I realized last night? That these small travel-size tubs are reusable. I might repurpose mine on my next trip. Maybe as a jewelry holder!

Ooh, great idea! And no matter how well you wash them out, they’ll probably continue to smell fab, like the lotion.
