olay-regenerist-giveaway

Can you believe it’s already Tuesday night? What was the highlight of your day? Mine was having lunch in the city with my friend Janice, an awesome national makeup artist for NARS. She shared some application tips for products in their permanent collection. I’m definitely gonna talk about them, but I still have some accompanying pictures to prep.

In the meantime, how about a giveaway to celebrate the fact that we’re already almost half way to Friday? 🙂

The prize

One lucky lady will take home $75 in drugstore skin and hair care goodies from Olay and Pantene:

  • Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller ($20)
  • Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum ($20)
  • Olay Regenerist DNA Superstructure UV Cream ($25)
  • Pantene Full & Thick Shampoo ($5)
  • Pantene Full & Thick Conditioner ($5)

I freakin’ love my HIP eyeliner in eggplant.
I just got it because a lot of people recommended it and I LOVEEE IT!
I’m a Bobbi Brown liner girl but the price does get pretty crazy since I go through those pots really fast….
I tried Jane, it’s cheap and it seems to last longer because it’s sorta dry or something. But Jane is no longer available at drugstores 🙁 So I tried HIP!
    AND I FREAKIN’ LOVE IT!
It’s not as good quality as MAC fluidline or Bobbi Brown but still I adore it.

Hmm… I’ve recently stopped using drugstore brands as much, but I swear by Curel Hand Lotion. Its the only lotion that never feels greasy to me. And I never feel bad for slathering it on since its so cheap!

I wonder if the Pantene is safe for color treated hair? My hair has been looking a bit weak for a while…

    Hi!
One of my current favorite drugstore products is Noxzema Continuous Clean Deep Cleansing Mask. It’s just perfect for my very oily skin because it contains bentonite clay, which cleans up the excess oil and helps to improve my skin’s texture. I use this product twice a week (for five minutes only) and it really does make a difference. My skin appears more even. The smell is not fantastic, but I’d say it’s okay. It does smells like citrus. I’d say that this product is made for oily skins only because the citrus formula gives skin a light tingling sensation that could possibly be too strong for ladies with sensitive/dry skin. Sadly, I think that this cleansing mask is being discontinued. I’ll try to find another product that contains bentonite clay to replace it.

Even after purity made simple used with my Clarisonic face brush, a swipe of this toner always comes up with a little something on the cotton pad that would have been left behind in my pores. I love herbal essences shampoo. I currently switch between 3 different kinds… no flaking way for the dry winter months; color me happy for my colored hair and total twisted (very yummy scent) for the days when I feel like going au natural. I might switch to the new tousle me softly, since my hair is wavy and not curly.

My other drug store fave is Olay moisturizer with SPF 15 (tried the 30 once – too thick). My grandmother started me on sunscreen everyday when I was thirteen. I’m nearly 30 now and don’t have the slightest inkling of a line. Dark circles on the other hand…. but I blame those on sleep deprivation that comes with having kids! 😉

Organic Wear tinted moisturizer by Physician’s Formula is da best! Ever since I first tried it out I can’t live without it. It’s easy on the wallet and as close as you can get to a perfect product.
It’s 100% natural, has SPF 15, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, moisturizes without feeling oily, provides the perfect amount of light-medium coverage, evens out my skin tone, and looks totally natural (I haaate looking like I’m wearing foundation).
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s not looking for a heavy coverage makeup.

My favourite drugstore product is the L’Oréal concealer pen Touche Magique. I’ve been into mineral makeup and in general I prefer it, but I could never find a mineral concealer that works as well as this one does for me. It’s easy to apply, covers my dark eye circles without highlighting them and minimizes eye lines. And in a pinch, if I forget to pack eye primer, it works for a few hours (it creases sooner than I would like, but again, in a pinch it works).

Whenever I have a lurker on my face, I use this mask and the next morning if it isn’t completely gone then it’s diminished.

Plus,it has sulfur in it, which is used in a lot of expensive prescription acne creams. You definitely get your bang for your buck with this.

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
