Hello, my friend! Welcome to the weekend. Whatever you’re up to, I hope you’re wearing your sunscreen.
I’ll be wearing it while do my “Cinderella chores.” 🙂
This week’s reading
- I’ve been researching UV blocking shirts this week…and here are five things that affect how well your clothes block UV rays.
- Speaking of sun protection, these skincare experts say that these are the 15 best sunscreens of 2021.
- ’90s-style brown makeup is having a moment (side note: YESSSS!).
- Waterproof brow products to keep your arches high all day
- Feeling like doing a little organizing? Here are some makeup storage ideas!
- I wonder if doves are crying (tears of joy, obviously) over this Urban Decay collaboration with Prince.
- Pretty spring makeup from Byredo… WANT.
- Speaking of Byredo, I would love to try this scent.
- Teens are worried about wrinkles, say what?!
Big hair, smokey eyes… I’m here for it.
Something I’m working on!
I love him.
Chemical versus mineral sunscreen
TBH, I’d wear this daily.
Awww!
I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here, but I really want to be a part of it.
Let it go.
That seems like a lot of sunscreen, but I’m down for it.
Shout-out to my current dermatological paramour, the Neutrogena retinol cream!
Because I’m obsessed with sunscreen…
Have a fantastic weekend! I hope you’re doing something fun, or at least not too terribly unpleasant. What are you up to? What did you have for breakfast, BTW? Inquiring minds want to know.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I have to admit I watch those two guys on “Doctorly” just because I think they’re really good looking. Lol.
Dear Husband has been driving back from NYC all week long, driving an average of 13 hours a day. He just texted that he’s almost to Reno. Home today!
Dear Daughter found a place she really likes, I’m hoping they accept her application and she gets the apartment. (She doesn’t have income as a student and they don’t like out of state co-signers. Two strikes. I’m hoping she gets OKed anyway.) Send out positive vibes and keep your fingers crossed for her if you can.

Those dudes also have really nice skin!
Sending all the good vibes and crossing fingers and toes in the hopes that she gets the place.
What are you up to today? I’ve been mom-Uber all morning, driving Connor to dance class and running errands.
Tatiana says
Those dudes have nice skin because they won the genetic lottery and they’re still young (late 20s/early 30s) and they probably started wearing sunscreen early.
When you grow up in the 60s where suntan lotion was meant to promote a deep, dark tan and had no SPF (St. Tropez, I’m looking at you) you pay later in life.
I have to admit I do not miss being Dear Daughter’s personal chauffeur. But I do miss watching the swim lessons, horse riding lessons, soccer and lacrosse practices and games. I also miss the weekend adventures, like Tree Frog Treks and programs from the SF Academy of Sciences.
Fun day ahead. Laundry, house cleaning and waiting for the arrival of my sweetheart.

But…but…but…$42 for a lip balm.

Christine,
That was my exact same thought.
