Cue the trumpets! ? I’m wearing pants that actually fit, and they aren’t workout pants (!).
Heavens to Murgatroyd, why did I put off getting real post-baby body clothes for so long? I feel like a legit human being again! It only took five years! Better late than never, I guess. ?
These are the Slim Wide-Leg Cropped Pants from Banana Republic, BTW. Please note how they don’t look cropped on me…
I’m 5-foot-one, so I ordered my usual size, but I got them in a regular length with a long inseam so the pants would look longer on my legs, as opposed to cropped.
This was the first time I employed that trick, and my life is forever changed! Now I don’t have to hem.
I love the high rise and pockets, and they don’t readily wrinkle either (it’s a poly/rayon/spandex blend). There’s also a little stretch for comfort.
Bonus: they’re machine washable! ?
I’m also wearing a vintage tee, vintage denim jacket (it’s GAP from the ’90s) and sneakers to keep it casual, but you could dress things up with a silky blouse and flats.
Last time I checked, the pants were still on sale at Banana Republic, if you’re interested.
If you’re also tired of wearing pants that double as pajamas (because I totally am), these are great.

That ube cake is such a beautiful color!
Mentos nail polish? What a weird collaboration! Byredo Mixed Emotions sounds interesting. And I love the cat spa day!
I got a haircut today (my stylist had a last-minute opening and it’s been 5 months), went grocery shopping, and walked Hettie. I have a new book I plan to lay in bed and read.

I started to read this post at lunch time. Three hours later I’ve come up from browsing the Banana Republic site. Those pants are sold out in my size, but I found a ton of other stuff I want to spend my non-existent money on. Lol.
I’ve never had a cat sleep at my feet. Nora either slept on my stomach (if I was on my back) or on my shoulders if I slept on my side. She also would sleep on my waist if I slept on my side. Nibbler wedges herself in behind your back or at your side, all the way under the covers. Calcutta used to sleep on the pillows on top of our heads. Lol.
Did it rain up your way last night? Around midnight the wind was howling and it came down for about an hour. But it was cool and sunny this morning, so Dear Husband and I took a long walk together.
Hope the rest of your weekend is fun and relaxing.

Ube cake would be such a fun treat! Gurl. That outfit is so chic! It’s stylish, casual but has that funky aspect without being too much. I love this look so much!
I did a spin class and spent some time online learning about the color wheel!

You look beautiful, Karen! Your hair looks so cute in that style.
It’s funny how you mentioned the length of your pants because I do something similar when I buy new jeans. My true inseam is 31 but I always buy the “short” length instead of regular or tall. In the spring and summer it air-conditions my legs and they look more modern, like ankle jeans. I’ll wear boots over them in the fall and winter and everything works out perfectly.
