Hiya, cutie pie. Welcome to the weekend! If you haven’t done your grocery shopping for the upcoming week yet, let me drop some MAJOR citrus knowledge on you: sumo citrus is THE STUFF. You need to try one of these if you haven’t already.
They taste like a sweet mix between a Mandarin orange and a Meyer lemon, but without any of the pucker-your-lips lemon tartness. The wrinkly peel is easy to remove too, and the wedges are so, so juicy! They’re just like eating fruity candy.
FYI, they’re on the pricey, at least around here, so they’re a special treat for us. I get mine at Trader Joe’s for $1.69 each (!), and I’ve also seen them at Whole Paycheck Whole Foods for between $2 and $3…each.
Seriously, try one! Your life will be forever changed.

Why did this make me laugh so hard?

Have a great rest of your weekend, my friend. ?

Love this history of makeup and hair in film – I’d read recently about Lon Chaney’s talent as a makeup artist – I’d had no idea!
I’ve more or less stopped using under eye concealer – I might do a tiny bit on the vein at the inner corner, but it’s working for me. That part of my skin is freckly and concealer just makes it look weird. I have relatively pronounced darkness there due to fair translucent skin, but I just had to get used to it. As long as I keep the eczema on my kids and surrounding areas from getting out of control, it looks okay.
And yes to simple skin routines! My rosacea is pretty manageable right now with a very simple, relatively inexpensive, routine.
I’m hanging out with my brother’s enormous dog today. He and his wife are out of town for the day so I’m babysitting. We already found one four leaf clover. My husband will join us later, but for now I’m reading on the couch of my brother’s apartment (he lives less than ten minutes away from my house).

We adore Sumo Citrus! I want to know the science behind the easy to peel skin. What hocus pocus was afoot in the lab or the greenhouse?

I love Sumo citrus, too. I think this may be the last month they’re in season. The markets around here sell them by the pound, a bit less expensive that way.
Kinda jealous that guy combing the cat. Nora hated combing but at least I could comb her every now and then. Nibbler on the other hand will take your arm off if you try to brush or comb her. Sigh.
I like the bones of that house in LA, but all those polished, hard surfaces just aren’t my thing. I’d want wood floors and wood trim just to soften things up a bit.

You are lucky to be in the land of citrus! Our produce dept is limited to the very basics so I’m out of luck on the Sumo Citrus. 🙁 I actually couldn’t even find broccolini the other day (inspired by your noodle dish); it’s hard to be in the sticks. HAHA! The Furminator brush is a must have!
