Merry Christmas from Makeup and Beauty Blog

December 25th, 2009 by Karen 43 Comments

Shaka from Santa!

Good morning, cuties. Merry Christmas! Just a quick note to wish you a wonderful day today and to tell you thanks for your support and friendship. It’s been a fun year (but one with its share of challenges for us all), and I hope the year to come is a great one for you.

What are your plans today? Does your family celebrate Christmas? My side of the family back in California celebrates late on Christmas Eve, so we used Skype last night to video chat with them from here in Hawaii. Today with El Hub’s side of the family, we’ll be opening presents soon and just spending the day together chilling at home (it’s POURING down rain right now).

Whatever you have going on this weekend, be safe and have fun! We’ll talk again soon.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Merry Christmas, Karen! It’s great to see the quieter side of Hawaii (instead of the usual resorts and hula dancers we see on TV). I could listen to ocean waves all day…and run forever outside with a view like that! My family celebrates Christmas just like any other holiday – good food, family and a relaxing day at home. 🙂 Have a great holiday weekend!

      Hi CC!

Food, family and relaxing… sounds like a good time to me.

We’re doing pretty much the same thing — just chillin’ and relaxing at home!

Have a wonderful day, and Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Karen. Thanks for sharing your Hawaiian adventure with us. I love the shot of the flock of chickens crossing the street. Too bad it is raining there. No white Christmas for me this year. It is chilly but sunny at least it is not raining. I hate rainy, dreary Christmases.

      Hi Amy,

Those chickens are all over the place, LOL! They practically run the neighborhood. There used to be a peacock too, but I dunno where it went.

Hope you’re enjoying the day! Merry Christmas!

I had promised the kids that I would take them to see the new Chipmunks movie on Christmas day! It wasn’t terrible, I admired the amazingness of CGI technology in creating small furry animals singing Beyonce, and the kids liked watching chipmunks giving wedgies! 😛

        How was your day?

Merry Christmas, Karen!! I love it when it rains in Hawaii 🙂 I’m on the westside of Oahu. When it rains really *really* hard in Kaneohe, do you ever look at the mountains and notice it somehow resembles little mini waterfalls? Pretty 🙂 Oh! And I braved the last-minute shopping at Pearl Ridge. I wonder what shopping was like at Ala Moana last night, it surely had to have been much more hectic!

      Hi Jenny,

Yup! I love when those mini-waterfalls come out of the woodwork. 🙂

How’s the weather over on your side today? It’s still raining like CRAZY here.

Tomorrow I think we’re gonna brave Windward mall… hopefully there will be some good sales!

      Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Karen! Hawaii looks great! We got snow yesterday in Fort Worth, right on time for Christmas. I’m off to work tonight–the hospital never closes, after all! But I was supposed to work last night too, and I was canceled, so staying home on Christmas Eve was my Christmas present. Hope you have a great day, Karen!

Merry Christmas, Karen! It’s tradition in my family to open presents Christmas Eve. The only bad thing is that everything is closed today here in the USA. In Europe (where I was born), presents are opened Christmas Eve, hang out with friends on Christmas and New Year’s Eve & Day are spent with close family. It’s weird knowing I was raised that way yet I’ve lived here for 17.5 years. Christmas is so boring here!

At least it’s raining in a tropical climate. It’s raining ice cold rain here in the Midwest, which is so unusual here. Snow and sun are expected, but rain is really weird. Very, very weird.

Here’s to you and your family on this wonderful Christmas night! Hope that lots of goodies found there way to you this Christmas. Here in Delaware, Santa was very GOOD to me!!! Hubster and I have decided that a Christmas vacation is due maybe next year…..I’d like to spend the holiday in a warmer climate, I think……

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days).
