So…what is the Monday Poll?
Good question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll. It’s just a list of five more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past gazillion years (more than 10!). I love reading your answers, and it helps me get my week off to a great start. ?
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
It really depends on the light and what time of day it is, but I usually do it in the same place I write, which is my office at home upstairs. The light from my office window is nice and bright until about 4. Then it gets a little too dark. Any time after that, and I’m probably doing my makeup on the floor in my bedroom.
Oh, and my car! (In the passenger seat, of course.) I am forever putting on makeup in a moving vehicle, it seems!
2. Which would you rather do — an eyelash perm (a.k.a. a lash lift), eyelash extensions or eyelash tint?
Eyelash perm in a heartbeat, because even though I love the idea of extensions, I just know that having that little bit of extra weight on my lashes would drive me crazy.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
Other than the ability to psychically predict precisely when my cat gets up to no good? Nope.
But before my tabby sense goes off…the house gets eerily quiet — like the calm before a storm — and then, BOOM. A tiny tabby paw comes out of nowhere and pulls your sandwich off the living room table!
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
I’d love a chopped salad with a hunk of fresh bread and a tall glass of unsweetened iced tea to wash it down.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
So many times! All of my animal companions and I have found each other through the randomness of the universe, but the biggest love, the greatest love, will always be Tabs. He’s my once-in-a-lifetime cat.
Thoughts on books: e-books or the old-fashioned kind?
Last night before bed I started a new book I checked out from the library, and as I was flipping through the pages to look for pictures or maps (does anyone else do this?!) I got to thinking about whether people still like reading “old-fashioned books” — ya know, the ones with pages! I have a Kindle and even though I’ve used it and liked it just fine, there’s something about feeling the weight of a book in my hand and the pages as I flip through them that I like so much more than scrolling with my finger on a screen. I might be old school that way though. Which do you prefer?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Question time! Here are they are to copy/paste with your answers in a comment. Talk to you soon.
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
4. Something you’d like to eat today?

Rachel says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
In my bathroom.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
I would love to try a lash lift. My eyelashes are soooo straight!
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
No. I don’t really believe in that stuff.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
A salad with smoked salmon, and tomatoes and cucumbers from my garden!
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Yes! My parents live out in the country and I think a lot of people set their pets “free” out there. It’s very sad because our winters are so cold and the cats don’t really know how to fend for themselves. We have kept a couple over the years, rehomed a couple, and brought some to the Humane Society.
On the subject of books: I love the library and getting physical books. I think a lot of people still do too. The independent bookstores in my town seem to be doing well. They also sell fun gifts and toys for kids.
Karen says
They’re also fun gifts for adults too! I love getting books as gifts.
Speaking of smoked salmon, I have some in my fridge right now, along with tomatoes and cucumbers. I just might make your salad today!
P.S. How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?
Kim says
Happy Monday!! 🙂
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? The upstairs bathroom, where the light is terrible, of course. But it’s convenient since that’s where all my makeup lives.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? I think extensions. Whatever will make them thick and lush.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? Oh, I don’t think so. But sometimes I’ll get a feeling about something happening and it does. And I’m very superstitious about talking (or even thinking) about certain things. I’ve had way too many experiences with saying “oh, I’ve never had that issue” only to have that issue a short time later.
4. Something you’d like to eat today? Stunningly, I can’t think of anything. Though I just had lunch so that’s probably why.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? Yes, both stray and cats whose owners can’t take care of them any more. All 5 of our cats were one or the other.
Karen says
I really think you need a sixth cat! 😉
Kim says
HAHA! Right?! Sadly, only 3 of our darlings are still with us. The other 2 passed away (last year and 10 years ago – he was old and in poor health when we got him). Did I tell you that I was very hot on another gray girl (stray) last week? The Hubs kept giving the firm “no” and I kept saying “I don’t understand why you are saying ‘no’ when we are taking her… I’ve already named her!”. He was very relieved when the owner was found. I was happyfor the owner but sad that she wasn’t being added to our brood. 🙂
Lulle says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
In my bathroom, there’s a makeup mirror just in front of a window that faces North, so it’s the perfect light to do makeup. If it’s dark outside I’ll use another mirror in the bathroom that reflects the overhead light onto my face.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Eyelash perm! I’ve actually thought about doing this for a very long time, because I have really long and decently thick lashes, but they tend to point downwards, so the curl is my number one issue. I’ve also thought of extensions but… I’ve seen so many that looked a little bit too much for my taste. If I knew for sure that I would end up with a very natural result I would probably give it a try. The thing is that the trend is to get very “extra” extensions where I live, so I don’t know where to look for someone who does more subtle work.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
I wouldn’t say it’s a psychic ability, but I’m pretty good at reading people. Like, everyone will be surprised by the way somebody acted, and I’m not because I could tell that’s who they always were.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
Honestly? A burger! An fancy version with grass-fed beef, artisan cheese and fresh bread. I worked at BeautyCon LA all weekend and I’m exhausted!
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Not really taken in I guess, but when I lived in Istanbul I was feeding a little stray kitty that lived around my building. He actually got in through the window a couple times and my cat Ernesto freaked out!
Hope you have a great week Karen!
Karen says
Hi Lulle,
How was BeautyCon LA? Would love to hear how it went! Are you still with the same brand?
Lulle says
It was bigger and much busier this year than the last! I worked at a booth so I didn’t have much time to walk around the floor, but I was able to grab the ABH Norvina palette during my lunch break the first day. The public is overall pretty young (mostly in their twenties but also quite a few teens) and super excited about makeup. The lines at the most popular booths are crazy long (Kylie Cosmetics, ABH had the longest ones I could see). I think the energy and the shared love for beauty makes it really fun, but you have to be okay with crowds – or buy the super expensive tickets that give you early admission.
One thing I noticed this year was that there’s less free products given away. Most places now require a purchase to get a freebie, or give away something really small in exchange for a follow/post on social media. So you have to go wanting to shop (usually with a discount and/or new and exclusive items) rather than expecting to get lots of freebies.
Lulle says
Oh and I’m not an employee of that brand anymore, but they hired me to help on the booth for the weekend.
Karen says
Thanks for your insider’s scoop! I often wonder if I should go to those things when they pop up in the Bay Area. I think they’re great for making connections, but the crowds wear me down. I don’t know if you’re looking for a new position but you have a lot of options; it seems like so many brands are So-Cal based now.
Efrain says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
In my bedroom or on the go, I do it a lot of times on buses and taxis, because I’m running late and I want to save time.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
I have black, curly lashes so I think I’d only like to have longer lashes but I still don’t like the idea of extensions.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
I wouldn’t call myself a fortune teller, but I have a good ability to feel what will happen.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
A big salad, on Saturday whñe went to a baptism and we ate a lot of food and yesterday was my birthday so more food was involved, I need something light and simple.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Never, after getting Max we haven’t tried to save any animal.
I like books, but since I don’t have enough money and read a lot in English (and aren’t available in Mexico), for me eBooks are better, only if they were easier to borrow.
Karen says
Happy belated birthday, friend! 🙂
Ruchita says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
In my car. I carpool with my husband to work so I’ll drop him off and then do my makeup before heading into the office.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Hmm…I think I would go with extensions if they would make my lashes fuller. I’m lucky to have long lashes, but they are kind of thin.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
I don’t know about pshycic – but sometimes I feel like I have premonitions. When we were on vacation in Ireland, I clearly remember one day where I felt very sad for no real reason and just felt like crying. Just a few days later is when Mingy passed. I have no idea if there is any relation, but I’ve had other instances when I’ve felt anxious and then something bad has happened.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
It’s so hot, some watermelon sounds refreshing.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Um, maybe? 🙂 It started with Mingus back in 2010. Ella, Nina and Louis all stayed. And there were three others – Oscar, Charlie and Slim – that went to other families. There is also a semi-feral black kitty with extra toes (so cute!) that is coming around for noms. I think it’s a girl. Just recently I’ve been able to per her a little bit. It’s been so rewarding gaining her trust. She is clearly more comfortable outside, so no plans to bring her inside. 🙂
Happy Monday!
I read Sourdough and it was a fun read! I admit I love the ease of downloading books right to my phone. I use the Overdrive app. It’s especially convenient for traveling. My local library is under construction and moved to a less convenient location so I haven’t been been picking up real books. I think I would like to get back to reading “real” books when it’s more convenient.
Karen says
Did you feel the urge to bake bread after you finished it? I wanna make a loaf tonight!
Ruchita says
Yes! I love sourdough bread and it made me hungry. I also wanted one of those sandwiches. 🙂
Karen says
The double spicy! I would love to try making sourdough but I’m nervous about working with a live starter. I would feel guilty if I killed it. 🙁
Sylvia says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? In my bathroom, the lighting isn’t perfect, but I work in a huge office full of fluorescent light and I go pretty light on everyday makeup.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? Lash extensions for sure if I found someone good and someone else to pay for upkeep.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? No, and I don’t think I want any.
4. Something you’d like to eat today? Everything? Well not actually. Spicy noodles. I keep watching this mukbangs of spicy noodle eating on YouTube and now I really want noodles.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? So much yes. If you are a kitty and show up at my house you will at least get food, and might probably get a home. Currently of our three only one is a stray, and the other and the dog are from shelters.
Sylvia says
Oh and most importantly I love library books, and libraries in general. I go to our library weekly if not more than once week, and have since I was little. I still have my first library card.
Karen says
You made me giggle with the spicy noodles, because while I can’t really do spicy (I can’t handle the burn), I looooove me some noodles. When I crave them, I really, REALLY crave them, especially pho, or Japanese ramen. Mmm… If it wasn’t so hot where I live I’d eat them every day!
Ericca says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? in my bedroom
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? no
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? no, i wish.
4. Something you’d like to eat today? shrimp or lobster roll. no. a shrimp and lobster roll with a glass of half and half. ( an arnold palmer ) or a margs
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? no. but my cat I got from the pound , so i guess yes.
Karen says
Hi, Ericca! Do you live near a Trader Joe’s? I’ve been making Arnold Palmers every day ever since I found their Kettle Brewed Black Tea (it comes in a jug). I add it to their low-cal pink lemonade and it’s super good!
Ericca says
thanks for the tip.
kellly says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? Bathroom where I have special light bulbs and my magnifying mirror
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? Neither, but I’d go for a brow tint
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? Rarely, but when I do I really need to pay attention to them
4. Something you’d like to eat today? The leftover fish I had from last night put into a big salad
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? A couple times, temporarily. Do rescues count?
Karen says
Rescues totally count!
P.S. What kind of fish did you make?
kellly says
“Rockfish”, whatever that is. It was a nice big piece of white fish that was on sale. Since I like pretty much everything I’ve ever eaten I figured I’d probably like it. It’s fairly mild-tasting and has firm white flesh.
Amy says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
Dressing table. Amazingly, my house came with a retro one! I do wish it had a lighted magnified makeup mirror…sort of (be careful what you wish for, right?!).
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Hmm. Extensions. They sound fun.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
Nah, not something I’m into!
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
I ate lunch with my Mom and had an old-school ham and cheese sandwich on white bread! With chips. It was oddly satisfying. Pastry and coffee for dinner sounds good, Mexican style! Yum!
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Oh my goodness, yes. My hubs is a soft-hearted stray magnet. We’ve had up to seven cats. Once we moved and flew two former stray cats across the country to live with friends who cherished them for the rest of their wonderful kitty lives. Our most loyal and giving stray was Pops, a “cow cat” (white with black spots) who like Tabs was a bossy ex-tomcat with a huge heart and who I swear understood human language. I know just what you mean about your hunk of kitty love, Tabs!!
Karen says
Hi Amy,
Pops sounds like he was a sweet boy. How long did you get to be his assistant?
He sounds like your once-in-a-lifetime kitty. ❤️
Amy says
Oh, and books! After years of experimenting, I far prefer physical books with covers. I love the tactile experience of holding them, being able to easily thumb ahead or behind a page, the quiet, sharp swishing sound they make turning pages, the smell, and the fact that it’s just one thing – just that one book you’re reading, not a device with dozens of books – and has just one identity that you’re relating to in that moment. I understand the appeal and convenience of ebooks but love paper books.
Suzanne C says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
I finally have a dedicated makeup table!! ? ? ?
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
I don’t really have enough lashes to do any of the above except tint. Tinting might make them show up better, actually… hmmm.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
Not psychic, but I do have a lot of ‘aunt’ intuition. I know when something isn’t right with my kiddos and I usually have a pretty good idea of what it is or at least which questions to start asking.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
The chicken and gnocchi soup at Olive Garden. I’m not generally a big OG fan, but that soup is amazing.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
No, but our dogs are always adopted from shelters.
I have a place in my heart for both books and ebooks. Nothing will ever replace an actual book for me- too many memories tied up in them. But ebooks are very practical for my life right now.
Karen says
Yay to your new makeup table! Did you put it together yourself?
Suzanne C says
My Dad did. It’s actually a desk, kind of French country style to match my bedroom. Dad had two main jobs when we moved: install the shiplap in the kitchen and put together the furniture. He says he never wants to hear the words ‘delivery from Wayfair’ again, lol.
Erin says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
It’s usually in my bathroom.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Probably a perm.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
That’s hard to answer. Part of me says yes. I have very accurate intuition. I know when people are doing things they aren’t supposed to do. I have prophetic dreams. I also tend to know when members of my family are in trouble before they are or right when they are. It’s come in handy many times. I also know who to avoid, I just get a feeling. Most of the time, I’ve been proven correct.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
Sushi or Thai.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Yes, but I’ve always found the owner. All of my animals with me long term are adoptions from shelters.
Karen says
You’re lucky to have that intuition, Erin. I have some of it to a degree, and the times I needed it the most I’m so happy that I listened, because it saved my life!
Syahidah says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? Bathroom or my bedroom (both are pretty good for lighting)
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? Eyelash perm!
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? Kind of. I am very intuitive and empathetic as a person so I can sort of tell when someone is having an off day etc…
4. Something you’d like to eat today? This place near me makes this mixed green salad with crab meat, salmon tataki, grilled calamari rings and prawns. It’s the best.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? No but I want to! If only my cat did not struggle with territorial issues.
I hope people still like old-fashioned books cuz I’m writing one! 😛
Karen says
Good for you! Good luck with the writing.
Nicole - paleandfreckled says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
At the kitchen table or upstairs at my makeup desk which is also where I record videos. I’d rather always do it at my desk but with the baby and toddler it’s more practical to do it downstairs most days.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Tint would be awesome though still pretty subtle and not last long. But it’d be nice to not have blonde lashes for a few weeks ?
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
Nope!
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
Many things but a big salad would be awesome (and unlikely to happen due to time to make and eat) but I’m seriously looking forward to my cherry Magnum ice cream bar once the baby goes to bed. Hopefully it’ll be before 11pm tonight.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
One of our cats was a stray that picked my husband before we lived together. He’s the sweetest, easiest kitty ever. And then we adopted this high maintenance troublemaker to be his pal. ?
I prefer hardcopy books but rarely read them these days. But I read a lot of library ebooks. It’s so much easier with the kids to just read on my phone when I have a minute. And definitely during little baby age since I can do it in the dark as well. I’ve read 12 books since Jack was born in March. I know retention is better with physical books but I’m just reading for pleasure so it doesn’t really matter. ?
Karen says
Re: your answer to #4. I do the same thing — save a snack to look forward to when Connor goes to bed! Lately it’s been TJ’s Unexpected Cheddar. 🙂 And I thought it was just me, haha!
Nicole - paleandfreckled says
Haha, yes!! I can’t savor it until I know I’m not going to be interrupted. ?
Stephanie Smith says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? My bathroom. It has terrible light which annoys me to no end, it’s just convenient.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? Lift I think, my lashes are dark and I would pull off extensions because they would annoy me.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? I have a twin brother, and he’s always singing a song I’m thinking of, or vice verse.
4. Something you’d like to eat today? A big fresh crunchy salad. I think that will be my dinner, it’s too hot to eat anything else.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? Hahahahahahahaha! Yes. Every animal I have, and I have ???????????? were either strays or rehomes. Except for two cats we adopted from the SPCA 20 years ago, every cat we’ve ever had has been a stray. They literally show up at my house and I’m unable to tell them to go away.
Karen says
Wait… Do I see two snakes?!
Christine says
I still love books! I do prefer them to my kindle, but my kindle is SO easy to commute with, especially when reading GoT…those are HEAVY! And I can cling to a subway pole with one hand and read with the other.
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
My bedroom – I have an IKEA Brimnes mirror which has storage AND a light that doesn’t wake up the SO in the morning. My makeup lives on the shelving, it’s perfect.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Perm – I use my curler every day, so why not?
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
HA, no. Not even the slightest.
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
I would LOVE fried chicken.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Growing up I’d lure the friendlier barn cats into the house with lunchmeat. All. The. Time. We had a lot of indoor/outdoor cats. My last stray was a geriatric cat who ambled up to my cousin in an industrial part of Chicago back in college. I had just moved into my first studio apartment and I took him in – he was my ride or die through college (he left me the day before I walked my graduation…it was like he knew I didn’t *need* him anymore; my SO and I were making plans to move in together within the next month).
Karen says
Your college kitty sounds like he was so, so special. What was his name?
Christine says
He was – he was such a good boy. His name was Percy (short for Perseus, he found me during the Perseid meteor shower that year) – here’s a photo of him in one of his favorite perches…he was about 18 or 19? https://tinyurl.com/yck4gmre
Karen says
What a handsome boy! Did you ever see him after you graduated? I hope he was OK.
Christine says
Unfortunately, he developed cancer that spring and I helped him cross the Rainbow Bridge the day before my graduation. 🙁 The only other person he really liked other than me was SO…which I think helped SO embrace his inner cat lady!
Karen says
I’m glad you were able to be there with him to the end. He sounds like he was a very special boy. ❤️
Michele DiCola says
Happy ? Monday
I put makeup on in my vanity or powder room
Neither of these for lashes . I use 2 mascaras : a drier one and a new one ; the dryer one sets the lashes .
I’m definitely psychic ! It’s scarey . Sometimes I can see right through people !
Had a stray cat ? when I was very young
I read a book a week from my local library ?
Karen says
Good for you for reading a book every week, Michelle. What’s this week’s book?
Noelle says
We have at least 2 things in common car makeup application and I would definitely take in a stray 🙂 Great post!

Thanks!
Chelsea says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
We have a second bedroom that’s quite small that’s “my room” and I have a vanity and all my clothes and costumes in there.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
These all kind of scare me but probably tint! My eyelashes are already curled a bit, but they’re blonde af.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
Not at all!
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
It’s the end of the day! I wanted to eat chicken schwarma today so I did!
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
Yup! On my second to last day working at Macy’s, I came home and heard some tiny cries from under a car. I lured the critter out with some kitty treats and found a tiny little black kitten, all scabby and dirty. I took him in for a few days (it was a holiday weekend) until I could take him to the shelter (I was bawling the entire time…). We called him Tiny Cat. My parents just took in a stray little tortie girl, and we definitely took in some dogs growing up.
Karen says
OK, I need to know… Did you just happen to have the kitty treats in your purse?!
Chelsea says
Okay, so I had gone to PetCo earlier in the day and they were in my car. But I remember trying to convince my husband to let me bring home a big calico kitty named Kiki who had been shot ? because our cat is named Jiji after the kitty belonging to a little girl named Kiki in a Miyazaki movie called Kiki’s Delivery Service.
I should keep cat treats in my purse though.
Jennifer says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup? So funny you should ask. Until this past week, I always started in the bathroom with moisturizer, primer and foundation or tinted moisturizer. Then I would finish in the car on the way to work because the light is so much better in the car. But, that isn’t so safe and I had my car detailed last week, which entailed getting all of the things, including my makeup supply in the center console out of the vehicle. So, now I’m turning over a new sponge and putting it on at home.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint? My eyes are so sensitive that if I did anything, it would probably be the tint.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities? No comment.
4. Something you’d like to eat today? Frozen margarita and chips and salsa!
5. Have you ever taken in a stray? Yes, the most memorable were a brother and sister, named Blackie and Ooh la la, his sister, who was orange.
Karen says
OK, so car lighting is some of the best lighting, for real! I think it has to do with the light coming in from the sides and behind (so it wraps around you) and how it’s so diffused. The car is the best place for selfies (and for makeup application lighting, haha).
P.S. Ooh la la is such a cute name for a kitty! How did that come about?
Kate & Bree says
I’m laaaaaaaaaaaate. I’m so sorry I’m laaaaate. Bree gave herself a boo boo and I had to look all over the house for the doggy antibiotic cream. -_- Terriers. Can’t ever keep them out of trouble. I just got her deep cleaned at the groomers (as I call it) too. Ugggh that dog.
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
These days I do it in my bathroom. My bathroom faces west so I get nice sunlight.
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
Hm, a tint. I have an obsession with curling my eyelashes, but mascara can be a pain day after day after day.
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
I’m able to make fast friends with horses and dogs. Call it what you want, but some people think I have the ability to talk to them. They even point to Bree as proof. I call it Autism. XD
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
I’m still craving garlic bread. I think I have some in the freezer.
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
No, I haven’t. I’ve reunited dogs off the street with their owners before. I’ll take wandering dogs with collars I see and bring them home. I would hate for Bree to be lost and not have someone call me or the number on her collar. Her microchip has GPS so, thankfully, we can track her if she ever got lost. She doesn’t seem to be much of a Houdini like our other dogs though.
Karen says
Hi Kate,
Is Bree OK? What happened with her boo-boo?
Kate & Bree says
Oh, she’s fine. She probably got it from being a dunce and scraping herself on a bramble or something of the sort. Typical terrier behavior. The only thing is that she has so little fur that when she hurts herself she gets a bald patch where she injured herself! ? I’ve become extremely amused by this.
Icequeen81.ma says
1. Where do you usually put on your makeup?
bedroom or living room depends on the light
2. Which would you rather do: an eyelash perm (AKA lash lift), eyelash extensions, or eyelash tint?
none
3. Do you have any psychic abilities?
I wish
4. Something you’d like to eat today?
avocado salad
5. Have you ever taken in a stray?
All of them
we had a stray Rooster, went one day in our yard I fed him and he stayed with us for 4 years lovingly Ro, till my neighbors beat him and he died from it one month later even with proper care of a vet, he’s beak was broken he wasn’t able to eat, vet says he was beaten with a stick, but can’t prove it. His name was Joe and could also go along with our dogs he was part of our family One of our Dogs her mom was a stray and she was giving to us sole survivor from her mommy. Her mommy got another home.
