Do you ever watch those pimple popping videos on YouTube by Dr. Pimple Popper?! (And do you like them?)
Every once in a while, a Dr. Pimple Popper vid will pop up on my Facebook feed, and inevitably I’ll fall into the rabbit hole of explosive cysts and buried 35-year-old blackheads.
Apparently, these videos are SO popular that Dr. Pimple Popper now has her own reality TV show.
UGHHH!!! The bumps on my upper arms tingle and crawl just thinking about it. It’s not like I actively seek out these videos, but once I’m there, seriously, I CANNOT LOOK AWAY.
What about you? Pimple popping videos?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Ah! TGIF!! 🙂 I’m so looking forward to sleeping in and just relaxing this weekend. We’ve been thinking about going camping one of these weekends (well…I’ve been thinking about glamping, with a cabin and running water, but El Hub prefers the camping variety). Do you have any creature comfort camping tips? What makes it more enjoyable for you?

Happy Friday!
I’ve accidentally come across a couple of these vids, too. It’s just so gross. You have to wonder how all that gunk can even be in there. But, I do hear you on looking away. It’s horrifying but you just have to see how it ends!
I don’t have much camping advice for you. It’s not really my thing. I’ve been tent camping and camping in a good sized RV with running water, etc, but both are too small and damp for me. I think it would be fun to rent an RV and do a 3 week tour of the national parks or something like that, but I’d still want to be at a campsite with clean shower facilities. 🙂 I’m sure Connor would have a blast – the kids always loved it.

I can’t imagine wanting to look. This is something I will never understand. Ugh.

I find myself watching it even tho it’s completely gross and I wasn’t even intending to watch it ?

I don’t like those videos, too gross! Ahh camping, I just went! I am so used to sleeping with a fan so I like to have a little battery powered one with me in the tent. Also bring more blankets than you think you’ll need! And bug spray! Have fun!

I watch Dr. Pimple Popper and love it. Human bodies are weird and interesting, and not actually gross.

I think we’re in the minority—or maybe it’s just that we’re willing to fess up to it! LOL I’ve seen a couple episodes of her show and it goes so far beyond pimple popping. The treatment of debilitating skin conditions, the removal of cysts that threaten vision, etc. I find very interesting. I’m not really interested in watching someone removing blackheads or popping pimples, but the treatment of serious conditions in a medical setting is intriguing. I agree with you. There’s nothing gross about the human body.

I only really like blackhead extraction videos and nothing where it gets bloody or too gross.

Eeeewwwww! Gross! NOOOOO!! I would never watch one of those.
I don’t camp, I don’t glamp. I feel like having moved out of The City to live with Dear Hubs for the past 28 years has been camping enough. Give me the city, give me a subway, tube or metro. Give me gourmet food, a comfy mattress, a choice of pillows, turn down service and crisp white linens. Anything less is camping in my book.
Unfortunately, by my standards I’ve been non-stop camping my entire life. But I can dream, can’t I?

No, no, no, no, no. Can’t wait it, won’t watch it. I get bad heebie jeebies.
Also, I suggested making a batch of frozen margaritas before you go and transporting them in a big ziplock freezer bag. Scoop a few chunks of frozen margarita at the campsite and make s’mores! Instant happiness.

It really is hard to look away yo aren’t even trying to watch it but it’s interesting I guess. I don’t know why I find myself watching it because it’s just kinda gross. ?

My mother always said that if she couldn’t live as well as she could at home, there was no reason to go somewhere, so we never camped while I was growing up. I tend to feel the same way she did, so I’ve never camped. My husband has said that he worked hard to build our house so why would we want to go somewhere to live like homeless people. Both make sense to me.

I’ve just recently started watching Dr Pimple Popper videos, and I’ve found them really interesting to watch, especially the more complex cases. She seems like a great Dr, always checking in with her patients that they’re comfortable etc. But then I’ve never been squeamish or easily grossed out lol.

This is where MRSA comes from !
Extraction of an infected whatever should be done by a professional. The contents ofwhich should be cultured and the subject placed on antibiotics !
A friend of mine is going RV ing . They did a lot of homework as to which parks have gas , plumbing , and butane . And also look into parking and user friendly places .

I’ve never watched her. I’ve worked too many years as an RN. It holds no fascination for me.
Never been camping. My idea of camping is going to a beautiful hotel and someone bring me a drink poolside. Lol
