I’m feeling ’90s music nostalgia right now. It must be a side effect of carrying around a little black backpack again. I’ve been listening to some old songs I haven’t heard in literally decades.
Funny how you can not hear a song for years but still know the lyrics…
I always thought Trent Reznor seemed like a cool guy.
Gather up your jackets; move it to the exits.
Holla if you know who Alanis wrote this song about!
I wonder if this guy ever managed to get some air?
All malls looked like this one back in the day.
CHECK THE BROWS THO!
Those violins…
Hello, it’s 1994 and I’m super emo in my Doc Martens.

Can I please get an amen from anyone who’s ever made a CD mix? I had CD mixes for my car, for working out (Who else ran with a clunky CD player? SO awkward.), for all the lame boys I had crushes on… And there were so many lame ones, HA HA HA!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

What a great reminder of the 90s and CDs! I am (not so) secretly happy that my car is so old that it still has a CD player – and I listen to all my old CDs while driving.

Haha that is the best part of my car. I have CD player so I can listen to all of my old music!

Alanis Morisette was my first CD! Then I got into Nirvana and “alternative” music. I never really made mixes for any dudes, but I did for my girlfriends.

I heard that Lil Kim song coming out of a car in downtown Ann Arbor the other day and thought of you!
My mix CDs were CRINGE but I had them. I listened to a lot of rock and still do so they were mostly in that vein. For modern day, I have Spotify playlists that I use for work, commuting, etc. I have to have headphones in when I’m working in Excel – I like listening to musicals and stand up comedy too though.

The best album for Lauren Hill – the ultimate chill music. Love love love that album.

Your CD collection looked exactly like mine. The neat part of having a teenager currently into 90s stuff , I am able to reminince about my teen and young adult years. We listen to all of that 90s grunge, R& B and pop music. Nirvana and Madonna are a must!

I won tickets on the radio to see No Doubt in concert in 1997 for their Tragic Kingdom tour. had to sing the first verse of “Don’t Speak” on the radio. My son was a fan and I took him. Weezer was one of the opening bands for them. It was so much fun!

I love this! So many good memories. When my husband and I were first dating, he made me a mix TAPE of songs. 🙂 I still have most of my CDs from back in the day. I listened to Hole and Garbage all the time in college. I remember the first time I saw the Just a Girl Video on MTV. Thanks for helping me reminisce. This was fun! Happy Friday!

That Madonna album (Ray of Light) is one of my fave music of all time. And I am not even a fan or Madonna.
And yes, I am back to backpacks too.

I have a sh_t ton of CD’s and I still buy them when it’s my favorite artists. Love your picks here! NIN is still touring. I missed the last tour but I did see them in 2014 with Soundgarden . . .

I was so cheap I didn’t get cds until way late…like mid 90s. I barely had a collection since again, cheap. Oh, and “you oughtta know” is about Dave Coulier. Figured if anyone from Full House would get a song it would be uncle Jesse.
