(Psst!) Guess what I heard over by the water cooler? I heard that the First Aid Beauty line is fab for sensitive, moody skin. Spread the word. 😉
Initially, I wanted to give the line a go because of what I’ve heard about their Retinol Eye Cream ($44), even though I’m starting to feel like eye creams are one of those useless endeavors. (Sigh) Part of me still wants to believe there IS something out there that works. To that end, retinol is a compound dermatologists cite over and over and over again as one of the most effective skin care ingredients…
I’ve only been using First Aid Beauty’s Retinol Eye Cream for a week so far, but so far? Well, so far I can say that I like that I can use it around the entire eye area, both in the morning and again at night, and I also like how well it layers under makeup.
I haven’t been using it for long yet, but so far…I’m still waiting for an “A-HA!” moment.
I’ve also been using First Aid Beauty’s Face Cleanser ($21). It’s rated for all skin types, foams up into a lush lather, and I like using it after hard workouts because it completely melts away the sweat AND any leftover makeup. After I use it, my face feels squeaky clean.
First Aid Beauty’s $26 Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30 is also quite good, especially for no-makeup days, because the sheer coverage and matte finish make it like a more affordable version of Laura Mercier’s iconic $46 tinted moisturizer. There’s a decent range of 10 shades to choose from, too.
And then there’s the Bendy Avocadeo Concealer ($22), which steers clear of my under-eye lines and doesn’t look obvious or heavy…unlike another product (ahem, I’m talking to you, Tarte Shape Tape).
It’s on the sheerer end of the concealer spectrum, so if you’re a fan of MAC Mineralize Concealer or MAC Select Moisturecover (RIP), I think you’ll like it.
Bendy Concealer comes in a tube with a doe-foot for easy application (yay!), and it’s available in seven shades.

Have you tried anything from First Aid Beauty before? If so, what do you think?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Awe! That concealer looks great on you Karen 🙂 so smooth and unnoticeable!
You need to tell us your secret application because I bet I wouldn’t look so nice.
I’ve read your previous post ( oh I read them all , love the Saturday’s ones 😍) about Chanel eyeshadow palette and it looks so beautiful on you, think I’m going to treat myself with it, love the mat colors
Have a great day
Hugs 🤗

The FAB Face Cleanser is my holy grail. I thought I’d switch it up and try something different when I ran out of the cleanser last time and I’m regretting it. Almost done and then I’m going out and picking up the First Aid Beauty one again.
Have a great weekend!! It’s going to be beautiful weather here in Philly. It’s been raining here for-freaking-ever and I’m so glad it’s done. But only for a few days cause storms are coming again on Monday 🙁
I like the First Aid Beauty brand. At Sephora on black friday they have a big tub of their Ultra Repair Cream for $15 and it’s regularly like 40-something. You can use it on face and body and it’s really good when my face is red an irritated. It has colloidal oatmeal in it. They also have some good value sets which are awesome for trying new products.
I adore the FAB Face Cleanser too especially for winter. The most amazing of their new products for me is Ultra Repair BARRAIR Cream – it’s unlike any other moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It’s like applying a cloud to my face! I haven’t tried the FAB Retinol Eye Cream yet – I’m using the Murad Retinol Eye Serum and I love it.

Um, I see what you did there with First Aid Beauty being FAB. 😉 The sun is bringing out your freckles! Same happens to me but, since we have only seen 7 minutes of sunshine this “spring” and “summer”, it’s not very noticeable yet. HAHA! I’ve tried their cleanser (just a sample) and I thought it was fine. No complaints and no a-ha.
I love love First Aid Beauty. I have been using it for about a year and half. I love the face cleanser, the oatmeal masque, the bouncy masque, the moisturizer repair cream. I wasn’t crazy about the chapstick. I do like the hydrating serum and the AHA (I think) resurfacing serum. I buy the box kitsch at Sephora around Christmas and it’s the best deal!!
I don’t have great luck with First Aid Beaury for my moody sensitive skin! I find the cleanser a bit too drying (I find everything too drying though). I love the texture of the Ultra Repair Cream but it irritates my skin (why did they put eucalyptus in it?!). I think I might be sensitive to feverfew – I’m allergic to chamomile. It’s sad because it’s supposed to be great for my type of skin!
FAB is one of the exactly two brands of cleansers that never irritates my ridiculously sensitive skin. (The other being the new Sephora brand cleanser.) I also adore the tinted moisturizer and the Ultra Repair Cream. They have a coconut-something primer, which is not my fave, but I use it sometimes in the worst of summer when my skin goes bonkers and I have to be so, so careful what I use.
I love seeing the comments from the other sensitive skin girls!! If y’all have had trouble finding a toner that doesn’t burn like the fire of a thousand suns, I recently started using Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal toner and it is heavenly. (Apparently, cucumbers have the same PH as human skin.)
I just bought a tub of the Ulra repair cream for my daughter after using up a sample. She has tried everything under the sun for her eczema and this seems to be calming and non irritating and moisturizing too. Also our doctor mentioned this brand as working well for eczema skin. On a side note- Prayers for healing after a loss- I’m still healing after a year of grieving. I’m hoping our rescue of an adult dog will help our other very lonely beloved adult dog. And hugs to you too Karen
