It’s a Fiesta of Feline Fall Fashion, AKA a Cat Lady Clothing Bonanza, at Anthropologie

October 16th, 2013 by Karen 33 Comments

Peter Som for Anthropologie Cat Dress
Wearing a new hairdo and cat lady clothing

We’re lucky we live in 2013, babe. It’s a purr-fect time to be a cat lady, purr-ticularly as it purr-tains to fall fashion.

Fur serious! blinking tabby

I feel like feline fashion has been all over the place lately (hello, tabby cat tee and sweater). Cat-themed clothes are having a major moment.

Of course, you know I’m lovin’ it.

Today after my haircut I stopped by the Anthropologie store at the mall to investigate (read: try on) the latest in fall feline fashion…

Cats are HUGE at Anthropologie right now, and a lot of the stuff is pretty darned cute.

Peter Som for Anthropologie Cat Dress ($198)

Peter Som for Anthropologie Cat Dress
Love this dress!

The best thing about this Peter Som for Anthropologie Dress isn’t the colorful print, or how it could pass for floral from far away (like an optical illusion), or how it miraculously makes waistlines look a little thinner (although that’s fabulous, I gotta admit).

IT’S THE POCKETS!

It has pockets. And they’re roomy, too. So convenient for carrying lipglosses and/or cat treats.

I wasn’t able to find it online…so you might want to check your nearby Anthropologie store for availability.

Tabitha Petite Leopardeau Jacket ($148)

Spotted: one cat lady

What a fun, flexible piece! You could wear the Tabitha Petite Leopardeau Jacket ($148) loose, by keeping the drawstrings at the waist undrawn, or cinch them in for a more fitted look like I’m wearing in these pics.

I’m still kicking myself for not bringing this home…

I bet the khaki, black and tan would go well with tons of different shoes, boots and purses.

Elevenses Leopard Trapeze Coat ($228)

Fabulously feline faux fur (also known as FFFF)

Don’t you think the Elevenses Leopard Trapeze ($228) leopard faux fur coat has a flirty retro feel?

I have a feeling my feline overlord would approve…

I think it would look really cute with black skinny jeans or leggings and knee-high or over-the-knee boots.

Moth Leo Pullover ($98)

Cat lady sweater!

This Moth Leo Pullover ($98) is roomy and super soft.

Purr-fect spots

Wear it with your favorite pair of jeans and some dainty silver jewelry.

Sleeping on Snow Guepardo Pullover ($118)

I’m seeing spots…

This chunky knit Sleeping on Snow Guepardo Pullover ($118) is so cozy.

It also comes in light blue.

Peter Som for Anthropologie Cat Shirt ($148)

It’s meow time

The black, white and red print on this Peter Som for Anthropologie shirt ($148) makes a bold statement, but like the Peter Som dress above, I can’t seem to find it online, so check your nearby Anthro store if you’re interested.

      Hey Cel,

That’s the makeup working it’s magic. I used a bunch of different things that I think photograph really well. Here they are in order (it’s kind of a process):

      1) MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer (all over my face)
      2) MAC Face & Body Foundation in C5 (all over)
      3) NARS Pure Radiant Concealer (cheeks, around nose and chin…basically the areas where I need a little extra coverage)
      4) YSL Touche Eclat (under eyes)
      5) MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder (all over face)

How cute! I love all of these. This is a much better way to showcase my cat-ladyness than random cat hair all over my clothes. 🙂

Haha, so true. Although I do think Tabs views it as a badge of honor for his human to go about town leaving bits of his fur here and there.

Oh, and I’m pretty sure the Peter Som dress would hide tabby fur well. Just sayin’, in case Mingy wants you to get it!

      Hi Agata,

Yeah, I’m going to have to stop by on the weekend to “visit” with it again.

Is it finally fall out in your neck of the woods? We’re still hanging on to the last bits of summer.

Definitely stop by! I am kinda liking the leopard print trend but I don’t know if I can wear it. So far I got only an infinity scarf- it’s leopard print on one side and black lace on the either-I love it. But I really want a leopard print sweater!

It’s kinda fallish but it’s not very cold yet so I am still wearing my ballet slippers and no jacket. All my jackets are too big anyways, lol.I want to get a leather jacket but I haven’t found one yet that I’d love.

I’ve never been to an Anthrologie. 🙁 That’s because I’ve never lived somewhere that had one. But their stuff always looks so awesome! Especially that first cat dress. Beautiful.

Oh, Karen! I love how your personality shows through photos! 🙂

I have yet to step into an Anthropologie store. :/ I found one of their dresses, BRAND NEW WITH TAGS ATTACHED, at a local thrift store, for $12. Yeah, I’m still kicking myself for not getting that find, but I keep telling myself: “Where would I wear it?!”

Blarg! Must schedule a trip to my local Antrho! Looks awesome! And thanks for the styling ideas! I might step out of my comfort box and try animal prints! 🙂
